Fred: The Movie

Once upon a time, there was a channel called JKLProductions. The trio made awesomely hilarious videos, and were some of YouTube’s most famous users. Ever. Then, the L from JKL split, and made his own channel for his alter ego, ‘Fred’. The end.

I wish the story was that simple. So Lucas, AKA Fred, became freakishly popular. He got advertisement offers, a successful webshow, guest star appearances on shows, and all of his videos went viral. Meanwhile, Jon & Katie (How ironic!) were forgotten about, and Lucas took most of his videos down from their group channel. Before, they were unanimously loved, but now, Jon and Katie are disliked for being boring and trying too hard to be like Lucas. And Lucas is constantly criticized for just speeding up his voice for humor and only doing it for the money now. Most importantly, people hate him for being everywhere and annoying. Now, he has his own Nickelodeon movie coming up.

I use to watch Fred, and I was a big fan of JKLProductions. But then the humor went away and it was him just saying random things sped up. I’m probably gonna watch the movie, but for Bertha, AKA Jennette McCurdy from iCarly. They didn’t make her just some average ‘tough’ girl, but like a goth girl. And she made me laugh in the trailers.

What do you think of the Fred phenomenon?

  1. This is like Face of the Band to the extreme.
It doesn't help that he took the non-Fred videos (Like the Nebraska one or the Hannah Montana Ticket one) down, too. I'm going to miss those.
Yeah sure, JK and L weren't in the same states, so it would be hard to make videos, but still.
And if the movie's gonna be like his Hannah Montana or iCarly appearances, then yikes.

  2. [Late, sorry!]
They could have split screen stuff... or something. Like they don't appear together on screen the same time. :P
