No More Timbersons :(

Blah. After trying everything, SS and I have reached a new decision: Reinstall TS3? That would mean the Timbersons would be gone, but we have their Sims saved… so yeah. But the house and family tree and portraits and essentially everything would be gone. :( We’re on the start of generation 9, so I’d be upset if everything from February would be gone. :( Oh, and the custom content. I’d honestly freak out if we had to go all over MS3B trying to find everything. But we made a backup… so would that work?

Our computer says it’s version 1.17.6, and the Ambitions number is up to date, too, so I honestly don’t know the problem. :/

There Needs to be a…

Blog with game help, patch links, and what the EA customer service section should be. Like MySims3Blog with techie people. :P Seriously, it’s been two days and I haven’t been able to play the Sims since Friday night! Guess who also had little homework this weekend? –_- I’ve been seeing that stupid racially ambiguous girl in the blue dress on my launcher for two days now. EA should let me download a patch even if I already have it. They’re telling me the game is updated, but the base game is incompatible with everything else? Why? Seriously, patch or not, my game was ruined. Friday night, the game crashed because we didn’t have the patch, and now, with or without the patch, it’s still not working! [/furious]

Oh, and SS and I made some Halloween themed Sims for today. I’d post/make more, but EA is being stupid and I can’t play. :( The link is on our other blog, over here. So Happy Halloween! :)

Happy Halloween!

image

I know it isn’t until tomorrow, but I felt like making a post about Halloween today. :P

So, any plans? I’m too old to trick or treat, as well as I didn’t buy a costume this year(Does Party City even have anything for boy teens anymore?), so I’ll probably be passing out candy instead. :)

Tonight? I think I’m going to the mall, then coming back to finish stuff homework like making flash cards for SAT Prep, and reading Misery by Stephen King. I want to watch mischief-nighters from inside, so I know who to act snarkier to, now. :P Just kidding, of course, but it would be entertaining to see who plans on vandalizing my house tonight. Hmm… my house. That sounds weird. The house that my family and I live in? Our house? Eh, whatever.

I remember in my old town, the teens used to ruin everything for mischief night. As in, spray paint, shaving cream, toilet paper, eggs, and so on. It would look so cool the next day, with toilet paper hanging from trees and everything. Okay, so maybe as an 8 year old, I didn’t understand that people had to clean it up, but hey, it looked scenic in a Tumblr-photographer way. :P Now in my newish town, people just vandalize. Like, they flat out just throw eggs and shaving cream and crap and mess up stuff. For a good week or so before October 30th, everyone in my school just talks about strategy for mischief night. I mean, the town doesn’t get that affected, but the intentions aren’t as playful. Basically SS summarized my thoughts. Mischief night is honestly a waste of resources. Seriously, sending supplies to charities is too expensive, but it’s okay to waste toilet paper on trees? :/

I made the banner above in GIMP and some Windows Live Writer effects. Um, the candy corn used for the picture is from Google. :P

Yesterday in school, some people had interesting costumes. There were a lot of Snookis. Girls and guys *Shutters*. There were some guys dressed in girl costumes too, like a guy in a tight fairy costume. *Shutters even more*. Some creative costumes I saw were… Smurfs, The Scooby Doo kids, the Cookie Monster, the Blue Man group, hippies, 80’s people, and… yeah.

I want to play Sims tonight to mess around in CAS and make more Halloween themed Sims. SS and I made 3 this week. :P That was before the patch issue. :/ It bothers me how some people have mods for everything and nothing ever happens to their game, but SS and I only have custom content and suddenly the game decides not to work. I’m not saying anyone should have a poorly made game, but just my opinions on this issue. :P

OH, yeah. I forgot. Yesterday, on the news, I watch watching some human interest story about kids giving away their Halloween candy because it ruins their teeth, and giving them to the troops in the Middle East… so they could give the candy to the kids of Iraq and stuff. At first, I thought ‘Aw, how sweet’, but then my Dad pointed out that they’re taking candy from privileged kids who can afford dental care, and giving it to kids who can’t even go to school, let alone pay for a cavity. I understand that the people had good intentions, but shouldn’t they think more about these kinds of stuff?

This blog post became too long and ramble-y. So, uh, have a Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it!

I Literally Can’t Play Sims Anymore

So yesterday I had 3 tests, and in general, a rough week. I planned on just playing Sims yesterday to catch up with the Timbersons. But guess what? As soon as I start playing, the game goes really dark, so I have to tilt the laptop screen a lot to get some detail. And it takes forever to readjust it back to normal. Then it goes back to the dark screen.

Then, I tried to get that new patch. It wouldn’t let me get it, because I needed something additional on my computer? What? A 10 month old laptop is suddenly too old for the Sims? :/ So I tried to play without the patch, and it wouldn’t let me! As in, it literally crashed/loaded forever when I tried starting the Timbersons.

I was playing around in CAS earlier this week and that kinda went okay. But ugh!?! I can’t play with a family that I’ve been playing with since February? And you know what’s ironic? SS and I made the Timbersons because our other legacy got ruined. So basically, EA wants us to keep making new crap until our laptop run out of memory and they take our money and we literally can’t play anymore? WHAT?

Anorexic Blogger Said WHAT?!?

No, not anyone in the Sims community. :P

So, what do you think of a show with overweight people? What do you think of overweight hugs and kisses?

Remember how I mentioned somewhere this week that I stopped watching Mike & Molly because of the somewhat creepy sex jokes? Guess what? Marie Claire or whatever had some lame-o blogger make some lame-o post about how Mike & Molly grosses her out because they’re 'fat’ and clearly, they don’t deserve to be on TV! I’d give them a link, but that filthy troll bag doesn’t even deserve a link over here.

Seriously, WTH? That is honestly the stupidest opinion I have heard. M&M are not grossly obese, and even if they are, Maura Kelly or whatever the hell her name was is stupid for calling a large part of her audience disgustingly fat! Oh, pardon me, MK, I go to the mall, eat chocolate, and don’t work out. Sorry for hugging my parents, I didn’t know my fat was bulging out of my sweatpants. I didn’t know that the powers that be in anorexic, plastic, nose job land were watching me.

Oh, and guess what? MK? There are fatter people that exist. While M&M can lose weight, at least they’re self aware. I’ve seen people who wear size 0s when they clearly aren’t 0s, but I have the decency to not say anything. One of my personal mottos is ‘I don’t hate you for how you look. I hate you for who you are’. Maura, sweetie, you could’ve just call the writing a cliché and lie through your teeth, but instead, you decide to be a dirty little troll bag. There’s a special term for people like you.  It’s

STUPID, FILTHY, GROSS, DISGUSTING, SIZEIST, SLEEZY, IGNORANT, HATEFUL, CLASSLESS, LITTLE POWERLESS TROLL.

Wait, it can’t be. A 12 worded insult? Only one person has that much hate and idiocy. And Maura. Hmmm…. doesn’t that sound a lot like Maria? As in, Jarsie9? Or am I just sleep deprived?

Mike and Molly really need their own tag over here.

Just a Note

I’m going to be really busy until… next Wednesday? Or at least until this Friday. I have three tests then. :( And then I get off next Thursday and Friday. But I have a lot of end of marking period stuff to do… so yikes. I have to catch up on like 4 legacies and stories. And the new patch. Hopefully, everything will work?

And in other news, I stopped watching Mike And Molly. They had too much sex jokes which were on the disturbing side. As in, I don’t need to hear that on a Monday night kind of gross. But Total Drama World Tour just got so much better! O: I could’ve gone without the Courtney/Duncan/Gwen love triangle this season, but whatever.

I can’t believe we’re almost done with 1/4th of the school year! Time flies by too quickly! … And so does this blog post! Adios! :P

The Scariest Thing on Disney Channel This October

Every October, Disney Channel has a bunch of ‘scary’ episodes of shows, movies, commercials, bumpers, and everything. But do you want to know what the really scary thing is, this year?

That new Shake it Up show on Disney Channel. The plot is two best friends Bella(Redhead) and Zendaya(Racially ambiguous girl) (Yes, I forgot the characters’ names) get a job on a dance show called Shake it Up Chicago or something, and they have to deal with the day to day problems of being famous. Basically, if Sonny with a Chance and Victorious had a baby, then this is what that show would be. I’m disappointed in Disney for ditching the normal person approach after Good Luck Charlie, but that’s not the real reason why this show scares me.

Bella and Zendaya are 13 and 14 years old respectively. They look way too skinny for their age(s?). And this might be my personal preference on makeup on girls, but isn’t middle school a little too early to buy out the CoverGirl aisle at Kmart? Their clothing also looks, um, revealing. In picture 3, you could see Bella’s back, which looks way too skinny. And according to the source, that picture was over a year ago. At the age of 12. They can dress however they want, but if the Glee kids get into trouble with PTC over a GQ photoshoot, and they’re in their mid twenties, why are these girls who are barely teens allowed to wear stuff that girls can’t even wear in my high school?! No, I’m not saying that I’m a perv who wants to look at girls in Bratz-esque outfits all day, but, um, if a high school student isn’t allowed to wear something that a 13 year old can(On a kids’ channel!), doesn’t that say something? Besides, the oldest kid on the show is like, 19. Knowing Disney, they’ll be pushing a romance, so, um, how is a slutty 13 year old supposed to fall in love with a desperate 19 year old realistically? :/

I mean, they could wear whatever they’d like, but, if I saw these kids in the mall, I’d think they’re wannabe middle schoolers. Maybe I’m just a bit old fashioned when it comes to clothes and make up, but my cousin, who’s 11, has been ‘dieting’(Well, not seriously, but she has horrible self esteem. Then again, she shares a room with her gym attending, fake tanned sisters who are a few years older than her… so yeah) since 2008 because people like Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato make her feel fat. She’s not huge, especially compared to other people in today’s society, but 11 year old girls shouldn’t have to feel judged, fat, or forced to shop at Hollister, Aeropostale, and Abercrombie and Fitch.

I’m not hating Bella and Zedaya, but honestly. Would Disney love them if they dressed in 20 layers of turtlenecks with no makeup?

Will I still watch the show? Yes, probably. Do I wish Bella and Zedaya luck? Yes. Those two need all the guidance in the world, at this point.

Time for an inevitable IRL post!

Anyway. This school year, my school has added an ID system needed to enter bathrooms. You can also use them as a debit card for buying lunch. The school also has an online grade book now. I’m against both. I mean, it’s great we’re moving forward, but I guess there are several main points that piss me off.

  1. What if I forget my ID? Monday, I forgot my ID on my nightstand in my bedroom and I had to hold it in for most of the afternoon. I’m not one of those stoners who cut class 24/7! But I had to be punished because the school only gave us one day to phase us into the system. Sure, it’s good if some smoker starts a fire, or if a robbery or assault happens, but hey, life isn’t an ABCFamily movie. Those occasions that will ‘help’ our school will happen once a school year. And now the school knows when I go into the bathroom by logging in my ID’s scans? Why? I wash my hands at lunch, so what are they going to do? Tell me I go to the bathroom too much? They said they would do that, but I’m not sure if they have a system which tells them if it’s at lunch. I just don’t want the person in charge of it to smirk ‘Hm… student 12345 goes to the bathroom a lot o.O Hey, guys, look! He went to the bathroom every day this week!’
  2. What if someone steals my ID, and uses it for the bathroom stuff, and I get in trouble? I know this is speculation, but really. Wouldn’t the school think of these things more?
  3. Online gradebook: So, what if my teacher types in ‘05' instead of ‘95’? I get a lecture and some progress report to scare my parents? And I tell my parents most(As in, 95%) of my grades. I understand that if I do bad on a quiz, it’s my fault. But there are certain occasions where I know that I just couldn’t study and I could get better grades if I tried, and the only thing that would happen if I tell my parents is them lecturing me. And some of my teachers are actually telling me that they’re not gonna tell us our grades in class, because we could see them online. I haven’t signed up for an account yet, so I might never see some grades because my teachers are feeling lazy?
  4. The debit card system. I just get lunch from home, but my classes are pretty far from the cafeteria, so getting a table is hard. Now that people could just swipe for food, getting a table will be even harder. :|
  5. The fact that the recent economic crisis made the school get rid of some teachers, classes, and other budget cuts, but we magically have the funds to have all of these features.

YES!

Apparently, Jarsie9 has been banned! Thank you Jen for telling me! Apparently, my little plan finally worked.

image

Yes, I reported her like hell Monday. It was my own Columbus Day celebration. ;D I hope she takes the time to learn from her mistakes, invest in a stable therapist, and donate to Sara’s Heers to Hope.

I wonder how she would react against EA. Maybe she can use her crankiness for good?

And I still have to do my English and Spanish homework. D:

So today, I learned anything is possible. Even trying to finish my endless amount of homework.

Break

I’m gonna take a break from playing the Sims for a while. No, I’m not boycotting EA(Like that, anyway :P), trying to act all cool and rebellious to get someone’s attention, or anything. I have my own reasons.

  1. Grades. Yeah, I don’t play on weeknights, but on weekends, I try to rush through schoolwork to play, but my grades are kind of lower this year. I’m not sure if it’s a correlation between that, or that Honors and AP classes are hard. Either way, I’m not going to try and find out.
  2. Glitches. No, I don’t have any mods. Just a lot of custom content. But the game doesn’t let my Sims fall asleep anymore, so I have to delete the moodlet manually. Bathing doesn’t work either. No, I don’t watch my Sims shower, but I can tell by the moodlets. :P And the green lines don’t help. Nobody could visit, so that takes some fun out of the game. But worst of all: The game will randomly shut down on me. Even when I’m saving. Yeah, now it takes like 10 minutes to load, but it’s annoying to play through 3 days of birthdays, promotions, weddings, and lifetime wishes but then you have to redo it all. :/
  3. Personal boredom. The 8 Sims limit really ends plans. And I hate that part where you don’t know what to do for the heir, what to do with the model-esque spares, and so on.

I’m just feeling empty. I wait all week for the weekend, and once it finally comes, I don’t know what to do. Then it’s Sunday night, and I’m filled with regret. I’m addicted to the Internet, so weekends are hard: Spend it online and feel bored, or don’t go online and have withdrawal symptoms?

My ‘dream’ weekend consists of several things:

  1. No homework. But thanks to SAT Prep, I have vocab quizzes every Monday. :/
  2. Going to the mall, and not just eating Chinese food there. I mean, I love fast food, but I hate feeling like a bum who only leaves his house to eat. Like, I want to buy stuff and talk with people and have my own ‘When I was 15’ stories. And my own personal funds are almost dry, so yikes. :/ I have like a 100 dollars in those spare change counter stuff, but my parents always forget to take it with them to the bank.
  3. Go to Youth group and hang out with friends. No, not the Friday one with my cousins. But the one with the Church that I go to. Even if it’s overpopulated by wannabe Guidos and guidettes.
  4. Watch TV, play video games, and go online. I can only watch Nick @ Nite, which has my favorite shows, only on weekends, as well as Roseanne and Friends. I have too much video games to play, and my moods for video games can go from Sims to Super Smash Bros Brawl in an hour, so yikes.

Oh yeah. Final question. How much are restaurant tips supposed to be? Last Friday, I went to youth group with my cousins. Aside from having a horrible time there, we went out to eat after. SS and I both ordered soda and chicken quesadillas(6.95). Since SS got me pretzels at the mall the week before, I decided to pay for both of us. So, 6.95 + 6.95 + I’m guessing like two dollars at most for the drinks = $16.00-ish, right? Well, I never got any change back. There was like, 7 or 8 other people(And most of them have jobs), and Oldest Cousin told me that my four dollars went to the tip. Well, if the other 7 or 8 people paid 2.00 dollars in tips, is 16 dollars a lot for one group? Oldest Cousin and Middle Child Cousin only had 3 dollars in change with them(And they were the ones who were begging to eat out!), and they both ordered coffee, which was like $1.49, or something, so there’s no way they paid for tip. Then, they just handed me some spare change(Like a quarter and nickel, or something) and acted suspicious(Like, ‘Here’s your change. But just to make sure you didn’t take mine, how much were you supposed to get back?).  As I mentioned before, most of them had part time jobs, so SS and I think that they just think we’re stupid with money and can’t add, so they manipulated us into paying for tip. The waitress’s service wasn’t anything that special either, and the best thing she did was ignore our table when they other 6 were being really loud. So, did SS and I get ripped off? Or am I just bad with money, bitter about the night, and projecting my feelings of resentment onto them?

In other news, Fran Drescher got her own talk show, Melissa and Joey got a full 30 episode season, and Courtney Cox got a divorce. :|

How to Deal with Jarsie9- The REAL Way!

1. Hunt down old bat, I mean ‘woman’. And I use that term loosely.

2. Read posts.

3. Scoff at arrogance.

4. Report.

5. Add negative twist to her posts.

6. Repeat until needed.

I’ve reported her about 10 times… today! :P

I better stop. EA might make a ban on reporting people sooner or later. And homework.

My Thoughts on What Really Happened

If you haven’t heard, there was a glitch on the EA site which gave you free SimPoints. Apparently, EA, the cause of said problem, decided it was the banned users’ faults so that’s why they banned them. Only one person revealed what happened. And everything in the EA forum is fine again. That’s it. End of discussion.

My issue is: WHY? I mean, EA made that button for a reason. They should be dealing with their own problems and admitting they were wrong. They’re seriously being stupid over it. I mean, yeah, it was wrong to click it, but it’s also wrong to overcharge for ugly things, too. If I found that button, I’d either click it a couple of times, but not gift anyone, post about it here, and maybe, just maybe tell EA. That way, I did what I could, so everybody wins.

Am I the only person still hoping that EA hacked the ‘hacking gifter’s(I forgot his/her name D:) account and made up that screenshot? :P

Irony

So, with the EA spyware scandal, bloggers everywhere are learning that EA doesn’t care about your privacy. But after reporting Jarsie9 for the fifth sixth umpteenth time this past month, I reread the generic email they send you when you report someone, and guess what it said?

image

Yes, that’s right. Due to privacy reasons, we’ll never know what’ll happen to Jarsie9! Shocker!

And yes, SS and I have been reporting her for everything. So that’s why the petition history section looks so frivolous.

Oh, and I also made a page filled with Anti-EA links, so feel free to check that out if you have the time. :)

How I spent my Saturday

So, with the recent anti-EA trend sweeping the Sims Community, I decided to go on a mini tirade against them yesterday. Okay, so it was just me emailing companies that won’t do anything to take me seriously, but hey, I did something.

  • I emailed companies. Like, 4 or 5 different major websites. I’m not sure if I’ll get a reply, but hey, if I got one before, I could get one now too, right? I talked about the gifting bans, mostly, but if I have time today, I’ll try emailing them again about the Spyware stuff on AE’s blog.
  • I went on the EA forum to… hunt Jarsie9 down and report her for literally 90% of her posts. I don’t care if she’s some senile old woman who doesn’t know how to treat people because she lives far away from everyone so she deluded herself into thinking that online arguments count as relationships. She should invest her Internet bills and Sims allowance on a therapist, or adopt something from an animal shelter. No, wait. That would be animal abuse. Maybe a pet rock or flower first. Maybe. Oh, and is there a penalty for reporting people too much? I don’t want to get banned on the EA forum, even if it’s crap. It’s a pride thing. :P
  • And this isn’t Sims related, but… I started watching Cougar Town! I like it. It’s funny(The drinking games and balloon hunts made me LOL) and I <3 Courtney Cox because of Friends. I regret not watching the first season, but to be fair, I’m watching this season on Free on Demand(Yeah, like I have time to watch TV on a Wednesday night!) until I have time to catch up or whatever. Jen Aniston’s guest appearance made me LOL, too.
  • Oh, and back to the Sims stuff. My laptop charger thing fell out and I didn’t notice and then my laptop shut down on me while I was playing the Sims. :( My fault, but I’ll blame it on EA. :P
  • Straying away from the Sims again. I watched the London episode of Total Drama World Tour, and Gwen really became annoying. Cheating is cheating. I don’t care if it’s ‘twu luv’ emo style. And why did Duncan get to vote? He just got brought into the game, not knowing what was going on. Duncan and Tyler shouldn’t have voted with Alejandro, especially if Alejandro was the first one out of the challenge. They should really show who voted for who(m?) in a special episode. :P Yes, I’m the only person who would watch it… but they made one for Total Drama Island that was just ‘special edition blooper clips’ so Teletoon doesn’t really have priorities when it comes to airing and making episodes.
  • I watched that The Nanny: Fran Unfiltered! marathon on Nick @ Nite. It makes me sad how the only time I could watch The Nanny is when Roseanne is on. And George Lopez too. WHY? I have to put up with like 10 hours of My Wife and Kids and Everybody Loves Raymond, but when those three shows are on, they get shoehorned into like the 2:00 AM slot on weekends. And then Friends is getting screwed around on TBS, because of Everybody Loves Raymond. And I’d say that the episodes the Nick @ Nite executives picked were alright-ish. I see like 1 or 2 of them on a monthly basis, so the only ‘controversial’ episodes that were played were… Fran considering going to a sperm bank, Fran accidentally kidnapping a child, Maxwell’s assistant having a crush on Fran, and the assistant was a lesbian(No, not CC. :P) and… yeah. They made the episodes sound like never before seen, or lost episodes, but it was only ‘Oh, that’s an… interesting scenario. Now, let me change the channel before I hear that laugh again.’ stuff. And it was sponsored by Butterfingers. The candy bar. Yes, I’m confused on why chocolate candy is sponsoring a marathon for The Nanny, too.

And in other news. Ugh. I just found out that the Sims 3 console has kids and life cycles(And weather for the Wii! :D) available. It sounds tempting: Legacies without the lag. But no. I can’t give in to EA. Especially if a majority of my funds go to fast food and Aeropostale at the mall.

Dear EA,

Grow up. Look, I’m going to tell you as simply as possible: People don’t like you if you act stupid or jerkish. People will complain if you don’t know how to treat a forum. So if you think you got into deep shit before, guess again. I will complain to video game magazines and news sources online. And I’m pretty sure others will, too. Basically, your reputation will snowball into oblivion because we, the Simmers, are fed up with your actions. Why did you ban people who basically kept your asses out of bankruptcy? Seriously. Grow up. Learn how to treat people. And most importantly, ban Jarsie9. I want to know why they think the way they do. Honestly, do they think these members have too much power and could manipulate the community? Don’t worry EA, that’s why we have blogs. People already do that. So basically, you just failed at your own game. Don’t ban people. TELL them why you banned them. Let them argue about it. Have more than one power crazy creep keep forum members or not. And don’t forget, fix your game. With Late Night coming up, more and more people are getting fed up with your antics, so every move you make could turn off a potential customer.

Sincerely,

ArmenianTwin95.

Oh, and I’m only typing this now, all tired and in 2:30 AM because I’m going to be focused on homework tomorrow, so I won’t have the time to write this, and I’ll forget about it. So, um…. happy Saturday! I need to sleep more. :P

Today, I feel...

Upset. HP, you suck. The printing company, by the way. I was trying to print something out, but it didn't work, so I had to waste, at this moment, 3 hours for pressing print and playing around with their faulty equipment. But today I had no homework. So I just wasted 3 hours just to find out that the people who make HP printers don't know what a paper jam is. And I've had a lot of homework for the past week. Like, 7 hours everyday. So, the one day I get a break, and then HP decides to ruin it for me. Ugh. And something tells me that tomorrow and the weekend aren't going to be nice, either. And I'm becoming sick, too. :( Ugh. I need my own Me day. Like, no listening to parents, teachers, or anyone else. Just playing Sims, watching TV, and not being stressed out. I don't care if it sounds selfish or lazy. Guess what? I'm a human. We're all lazy and selfish. Some of us are just self aware.

I apologize if this post sounds angry. I am angry right now. So I'm probably being irrational. I mean, my ideal me day sounds boring and depressing now that I think of it, but you know what? I'm tired of seeing people who don't care about anything get by in life, and frankly, a printing company isn't going to tell me what I can and can't do.

Thank you, AE!

I fixed the banner, so now it’s centered and my inner OCD-ness won’t get annoyed. :P I should really learn to just make the banner match Blogger’s header requirement stuff. I guess I’m too late for that, though. :P But yeah, thank you, AE for posting that link. :)

In other news, I made 103 blog posts? Already? :o

Well, I have to go do my homework and stuff now.

…Wait, are my posts always this short and restating how much schoolwork I have? No wonder I have 103 blog posts. xD

New Layout!

Hi guys. I was kind of procrastinating on my homework(Hey, I did my English and half of my SAT Prep! Doesn’t that count for something?) and I decided I might as well make the new blog layout. I love it. Or at least the banner. I might change the main theme if I get bored of it. It looks kind of blocky for me. Oh, and I don’t know how to center the banner. D: Any help?

I really hope the weather gets better here. There’s a lot of trees here, so wind and rain on a Saturday night practically equal a blackout. And if I have all this homework to finish… yeah, that’s not a pretty thought.

Mel and Joe is Gonna Go

Okay, so it hasn’t been confirmed yet… but ABCFamily’s Melissa & Joey is probably gonna be cancelled in a few weeks. Here are my signs:

  1. Elizabeth Ho, AKA Rhonda, hasn’t been on the show for a few weeks. First, it sounded like ‘Oh, don’t worry, she’ll be back next week’, but she hasn’t been on for two episodes. And then Elizabeth Ho said she won’t appear until season 2- if they’re even getting picked up. This caused many of her followers to Tweet that they stopped watching the show as a result, so she had to convince them to watch. So, now the show lost some viewers.
  2. The viewers for the DWTS episode was less than 1 million. Yikes. The peak was the second episode. With like 2 million viewers. So Yeah.
  3. ABCFamily apparently is creating 3 new ‘dramas’. This means M&J is out of place, and they’re probably using M&J’s budget to support these shows.

Meh, I knew it wouldn’t last. None of ABCFamily’s sitcoms last that long, and ABCFamily always screws around with them(Like putting M&J up against Glee: Smart move! Not!). Also, reruns are always available on ABCFamily, and the website, so people think ‘Oh, I missed Mel and Joe? No biggie. I’ll go online and watch it.’, so people have less reasons to watch it the first time around.

Melissa, honey, you have a family to support. So go back to Sabrina syndication, and made for TV movies. Anything. Just know you have other options.

Well…

Oh. My. Goodness. This weekend, I have homework in *counts* 3/4ths of my classes. What? I understand that this is high school, and I have honors and AP classes, but HONESTLY? The school rewards it’s ‘star students’ by… screwing us over with homework, ruining our posture and social lives? Granted, I don’t have much of a social life to begin with, but honestly. I feel like now, all of my actions will affect me later.

Today, we had a pep rally at school. I don’t play sports. And I realized… why the fudge do people care so much? It’s just kids from different teams wearing their uniforms all day that haven’t been washed, and act like they need to be treated like royalty just because they can run with a ball in their hands. Then, for an hour, the student athletes and the seniors just get treated like they created the Internet or whatever. Am I the only one who thinks that high school treats sports like they’re the top priority? If I’m taking challenging classes, and trying to do good to make the school look good academically, shouldn’t that count for something? I mean, there’s a reason why sports are called extracurricular activities. Don’t get me wrong, sports are okay, but I know several kids who are planning to get into college just by playing football. And trust me, there’s a good chance they’re not going that far for their football dreams. And I also hate how athletes treat people who don’t play sports like second class citizens. Honestly. If I don’t want to play a sport, that should be MY business, right?

Oh, and remember my cousins from a few posts back? Well, they’ve tried inviting SS and I to their Youth Group again. We’ve declined. My parents were not amused. The end.

In other news, I’m going to start having random titles instead of boring, average ones when I don’t have any title ideas. So… yeah.

Adios amigos. I have to do my homework. D:
