Yay

I finally finished my homework. Ish. I have to make one more blog entry for English, but I need someone else to comment first, but the teacher needs to approve it… so yeah. Then I’m going to the mall.

Our laptop charger came yesterday! But another one came today. o.O I just hope my parents don’t think I’m involved for getting it. Smile with tongue out

The new Degrassi episode sucked yesterday. I mean, it’s still intense, but the commercials ruin it. Riley and Zane are still together, and Riley’s Mom is in denial about his sexuality, but they spent a lot of time just so we could watch a ‘I’m gay/No you’re not/Yes I am’ scene go on for like 5 minutes. If it was an hour long episode, okay, but a 30 minutes episode with 3 plots is NOT where you include recycled lines.

Poor Alli got caught with a cigarette yesterday. Because her friend was like ‘here, hold this while I search my purse for a nonexistant item’ and then Alli’s Mom caught her and Alli’s Mom made Alli confess for ‘smoking’ to the principal. Alli then got a suspension.

And Drew and Bianca. Bianca made a bad impression after calling Jenna an idiot for buying diet pills earlier this season. I actually agree with her, though. Jessica Tyler, Jenna’s actress looks like this: image

Although Jenna was preggerz and she didn’t know it, but yeah. Then Jenna and KC were angry with her for the boiler room scandal, but Bianca and Drew appropriately called them out for being teen parents. But yeah. Then Bianca gave Drew drugs before the big game and nothing happened. I mean, Drew’s friends and Mom were pissed, but this is Degrassi. Getting yelled at for doing drugs is too tame.

And next week, Eli and Clare are back. Disappointed smile

Sims 3: Generations?

To be honest, I’m kind of excited if this EP is true. There’s literally nothing for children to do besides practice skills or do the playground stuff. Sure, they could play video games but that’s boring. But this EP can add a lot of stuff for everyone.

Not to mention, I could probably play this while keeping my current family. Yeah, I could do the special Ambitions jobs in any town, but having 8 Sims and 2 or 3 professions is really a bad idea. And from what I’ve read, clubs in non-Bridgeport towns are annoying.

And there’s so much stuff they could do with this expansion. I know it would be impossible coding wise, but here’s my speculation/wish list:

  • Bunk beds!
  • Board games.
  • Slumber parties.
  • New traits (black sheep, prankster, sentimental)
  • New skills (sewing)
  • New ‘concepts’ (I don’t know what this would be called)- I saw something on the official EA forums about adopted kids finding their real parents. That sounds interesting; teen pregnancies (Hey, teens making new family members. That’s pretty on topic if you ask me)
  • Party stuff like games (Red light, green light anyone?), supplies, diving boards, pool toys like inflatable stuff for kids and so on.
  • Better ways to keep in touch with family members that moved out.
  • Those castle toy stuff that kids jump in at parties.
  • Raised house limit?
  • Maybe school clubs and more part time jobs. It’s not like adding new rabbit holes is that hard.
  • Party lots, like those birthday party places for kids IRL. I’m sure I could find some on the exchange, but it won’t hurt writing it here.

That’s all that I can think of for now. Smile with tongue out So as you could tell, I hope this is official.

Irony

Remember how I made a post about people being too selfless to care about Libya?
I apologize.
Why?
Let’s just say I’m a little more than pissed off right now because the laptop charger isn’t going to come. Ever. And we found the exact same one on Amazon but my parents are just telling us to wait ‘just in case’.
And it doesn’t help that the next time I might actually be able to play the Sims 3 is… Spring break, 7 weeks away?
Sad smile
So if you felt insulted by my last post, I apologize. Because now, I’m treating my issue like it’s the biggest thing in the world.
And I’m gonna turn comments off for this post. Not for the ‘I told you so!’s. You could do that in other posts. But because I don’t want any pity or anything and I just need this post to clear my mind and vent and crap.

No Offense, But...

Isn't what's going on in Libya important too? I understand that everybody reads the Mare's Nest, but if you were that close with them or they were that important to you, wouldn't you have some sort of outside contact with them? I mean, people over there are being killed, and their corrupt government is getting away with it, and then some people are worrying about a trio's blog being down?
I'm worried too, but I'm pretty sure they've had other mini-hiatuses as well, although not this long. But other times they've been down this long, they've severely owned and damaged some troll reputations. Maybe this time, it's Jarsie's turn?

I'm reading some Libyan tweets and they're horrible. They're being killed and they can't do anything about it. According to this article, you can't even mention their leader's name without attracting attention and discussing national policy with foreigners can imprison someone for 3 years. I understand that Sims 3 blogs are escapes, but still. It's not like one URL is going to change what's on my mind.

Another Degrassi Post

I swear, this blog is gonna turn into a Degrassi episode guide by summer. xD
I only have 3 episodes left to watch in Season 1, and there was a new episode on last night. You know what that means!
Season 1

Like
Ashley- She treats Liberty like a younger sister (Basketball Diaries, Rumors and Reputations), she has a nice personality, she hasn't done anything really unlikeable yet, and Melissa Mcintyre is really pretty. That sounded awkward. Pretty? It feels like a third grader said it. But beautiful is too much. And I don't like the phrase 'hot' because it objectifies people. So... attractive? Side note; there's a girl named Ashley in my school who looks like her and has the same overachieving personality. o.O
Paige- Paige really improved since last week. She was actually nice to people (Emma when she got her first... yeah) and she sounded sincere when she tried to comfort Ashley when she found out her father was gay. The blaming Hazel for the Grapevine thing was kind of stupid, but Hazel's a minor character so far, so I guess nobody got hurt.
Terri- She hasn't really been in the spotlight since last week. However, she told Ashley to not sleep with Jimmy if she wasn't ready for it. Ashley just told her that she doesn't know anything about relationships because she's never been asked out. I wanted to hug poor Terr-bear. :(
Liberty- What did Libz do since last week to improve her rating? She had no public speaking skills in Basketball Diaries, which made me relate to her. I wanted to hug her in the entire episode of Rumors and Reputations. And she warned Emma not to publish the rant on cheerleading if she wanted to stay friends with Manny. Basically, she's been a good friend and she's played 'the dorky girl' quite well.
Sean- I don't really know why I like him. But he seems to be a nice love interest (Do they call them love interests if they're a main character?) for Emma and he's kind of multi dimensional so far. I thought he'd be more emo-ish about being held back, but that hasn't been brought up yet, so let's hope that the writers forgot about that plot. I thought he would hate girls like Emma and would be more interested in.... wait, it's season one. There's no flirty girl with a bad rep yet.
Emma- She acted so awkward in a cute way in the episode Friday Night. I thought she overreacted in the episode Coming of Age until I learned that she was PMSing. I understood where she came from in the episode Rumors and Reputations for unintentionally starting a rumor because somebody misinterpreted her, seeing as I've been there. I don't like how it feels like she's a Mary Sue so far, but the writers haven't been so unbalanced yet.
Neutral
JT- His stereotype of gay people really annoyed me in Secrets and Lies. And his class clown-liness is annoying. The best way to describe him is the annoying little brother, but he's not actually anyone's brother, so... yeah.
Manny- She managed to avoid having a real plot until the 12th episode, Wannabe. Then she actually had an episode and I got bored. She's just the mandatory ethnic sidekick who wisecracks and gives advice, so far. We don't know her personality In fact, in the last character recap, I forgot to summarize her until the comments. That's how forgettable she is. Is she a feminist? Athletic? Does she itemize herself? Does she stand up to protect her rights? Is she good in school? Is she the popular friend? Is she outgoing? Well, I can't answer anything now. I just know she was born in 1989 (I think) in the Philippines as of Coming of Age.
Jimmy- He's kind of redeemed himself, but the whole Miss Kwan thing made me dislike him. I want to know if he's so close with Ashley, why was it a plot point only in The Mating Game and Coming of Age? He's pretty boring, actually. I guess I just don't like Drake.
Dislike
Spinner- Bullying Miss Kwan, the lunchroom incident, forcing Jimmy into sleeping with Ashley... yeah, let's just say I don't like Spinner.
Toby- He treated Ashley's Dad's homosexuality like it was a terminal illness, his crush on Emma and how he almost destroyed Ashley's and Jimmy's relationship are all reasons why I dislike Toby.

And last night's episode:
Drew can't get a date because of his boiler room activities with Bianca. So then he goes out with Bianca because he's desperate. Then his teammates and their girlfriends (AKA a pregnant girl, the father, a shallow kid and a new freshman) all judged Bianca, and she feels like she doesn't feel accepted. Next time don't cheat, honey. Next week, apparently Bianca gives Drew drugs? Right before the big game? I hope this plot is more interesting than it sounds.
Riley gets invited to an art museum place thing by Zane, but Riley doesn't wanna go. Zane guilt trips him into it, and then Riley meets Zane's ex over there. After a pseudo love triangle there, Riley goes home. Zane goes into his room and assures him that they're still together, or something. Then Riley's Mom walks in on them making out and is shocked, appalled and so on. Unfortunately, there are only about 90 seconds left in this week's episode, so we'll have to wait until next week for her full reaction! :/
And in the shoe-horned C plot, Alli befriends a girl from her... religious circle (I forgot the correct term D:) at her new private school and then invites her over. Alli's family likes her. Unfortunately, Alli's friend is way worse than Alli, because she sneaks out, smokes and so on. Alli's friend then leaves Alli's house to meet her boyfriend because her parents won't let her see him and going over to Alli's house would be the perfect opportunity to see him. Alli promises to leave the door unlocked, and feels disappointed that she doesn't have a real friend yet.
I predict that Alli's friend will leave things like a positive pregnancy test or a cigarette in Alli's room and then one day Alli's Mom will clean her bedroom and think Alli is the pregnant one and the smoker, and Alli will be shipped off to boarding school for real. I think Alli's actress films another show, so it isn't too far fetched.

Bieber Fever

Recently, Justin Bieber and his fans have gone a bit psychotic. If any of you remember my thoughts on him and Lily Allen, then you should know I don't really like him. But I can tolerate him. I don't like when people say they're for gay rights or LGBT friendly and go like 'Don't make fun of Justin Bieber, what has she done to you?' and those kinds of jokes. Or 'Hey Justin, once you get your first kiss/your first WooHoo, your songs will really get good' stuff. I don't like how the media gives Justin the personality of an Amish prude and insults him for it, but Miley Cyrus is a druggie-party animal and the media hates her for that. And those random people who hate Justin a lot for no reason, to the point of wanting to kill him. Like goodness. If you're jealous of a 16 year old or however old he is, then you should reevaluate yourself. But yeah, where was I?
So last Sunday on the Grammys, Justin lost the best new artist award and some Esperanza Spalding girl won. Apparently, angry Bieber fans harassed Esperanza on Twitter because he lost to her. o.O That's a bit too much, don't you think? I don't listen to Esperanza, and frankly, I never heard of her before the Twitter thing, but you don't just harass someone because they won an award!
Then he had a Rolling Stone interview and he said that he was against abortion. Even for rape and incest. To specify, he said 'everything happens for a reason'. Um... okay? I think he had a single teen mom or something, so he could've been aborted and stuff and he's sensitive about abortion, but not letting rape and incest victims get abortions? That's ridiculous. Besides, Justin is Canadian (IE, not a politician or an American citizen), 16 and a boy, so he shouldn't even be asked for his opinion on abortion. And I don't know if Canadians treat abortion with so much controversy, but still. And what's even worse is that I saw a Tweet screenshot circulating the Internet of him allegedly saying 'only true beliebers would agree with me' or something to that effect. I heard it's a rumor, but still. Telling/guilting your demographic into agreeing with you? Like, 12 year old girls? What if one of his fans got raped or sexually abused or is pro choice? Do they have to move on to another artist?
And I heard a theory/conspiracy on the Joy Behar show that he's in an alliance with the Palins to get a new voting demographic for the 2012 election, because his fans could vote by then, and the pro life thing would make them become Republicans. I'm not even going to comment on that because it sounds like something from the National Enquirer, but it doesn't sound too far fetched. Justin's clean cut image and Bristol's DWTS success could help Sarah Palin in the election.
Then again, probably not. 4 years ago, the Jonas Brothers were really famous. Now, they're basically gone. Who says Justin could last?

I should probably change my comment settings for this post to avoid angry Justin fans. *Grabs shield and armor*

Brief Post

The laptop still hasn't been fixed and I've been trying to avoid the blogosphere to not feel annoyed about the laptop thing, so yeah. :P Winter Break started yesterday. I watched a lot of Degrassi. School stuff happened, but I think I'm gonna stop talking about school now. We ordered Late Night from online and they said it's coming Wednesday, so... :D? On the whole boycott issue, I'm not really buying every expansion or stuff pack they make, and I'm just getting the PC games that interest me, so yeah. But I've spent like 100 dollars on three games (not counting Wii stuff), so... yeah. I've been playing for like 1 year and 2 months now, so I guess it's money well spent. But yeah. I'll stop rambling and go onto other posts.

Random Update

I think my teachers stalk me or something. My laptop started to break around last Wednesday, and guess what? I’ve had like no homework since then. I bet you once that laptop gets fixed, my teachers are going to go assignment crazy on us. Well, I only have 1 test this week, and next week is break, so I think they’re gonna go psychotic on us when we come back. Sad smile

I have an APUSH test Friday, but the teacher wasn’t here today, he isn’t coming to school tomorrow, and we don’t have class Thursday, but we still need to take notes. Do you think we’d have a test? The class is split on this, too. Smile with tongue out

I never knew I’d miss playing Sims so much. D: Once I get Late Night and the charger fixed, I’m probably gonna temporarily move into my basement next week.

Oh well, Degrassi time. Smile with tongue out

Mandatory Degrassi Post

So I've been obsessing over Degrassi way more than I was last week. And last night, the 2nd half of the season started! And I've been watching from the start online.
Season 1: So far, from the 5 episodes I've seen, the show is really good. I actually care about the characters. I know how they feel. Their interactions and dialogue (Spellcheck says I'm spelling dialogue wrong, but I think that's how it's spelled...?) are realistic. But everyone is so young. I don't remember going into 7th grade with people dressed like that, missing their front teeth, and wearing clothes from the Children's Place. Okay, so I used to do the last one, but to be fair, it was my first year in public school, and I didn't know what was 'in'! But yeah. They're awkward. Usually, shows hire kids that are older than the character's age, not younger.
Like:
Emma - the hippie girl.
Ashley- the popular one.
Terri- the plus size girl.
Sean- the troubled one.
JT- the comic relief.

Neutral:
Liberty- Has anyone seen Ned's Declassified? Imagine a nerdier version of 'Claire Sawyer, future lawyer' and you get Liberty. She's boring, but she hasn't seriously pissed me off yet.
Toby- Annoyingly nerdy. He makes annoying facial expressions. I know that's mean, but the actor is just annoying.

Dislike:
Paige- the beeyotch. She stole Terri's crush at the dance, after making her drunk! And they're only 13! Gosh.
Spinner- the bully/I don't know. Terri's crush, but stolen by Paige. :/ He seems way older than most of the cast.
Drake, I mean Jimmy- he's annoying. He thinks he's the cool athlete, but he looks like he came out of 1986. It's called Abercrombie, dude.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas: Okay, so that's not what the episode was called, but it's what it should've been called. Basically, the school has a Vegas themed dance (Season 10, btw) and hell occurs. It's Degrassi, what else do they expect? Let's see...

  1. Bianca, the school slut, did some 'loving' in the Boiler Room with...
  2. Drew, who was dating...
  3. Alli, who was paid to do some more 'loving' in the Boiler room with...
  4. Some guy who's name I didn't catch, who convinced Alli that 'any guy would pay a lot of money to hook up with a girl like you'.
  5. Claire, the Bella Swan of the show, had to date Fitz , the bully, to stop Fitz's and Eli's feud.
  6. Eli, Claire's boyfriend, is pissed at Claire because he thinks Claire's gonna cheat on her with Fitz because of this.
  7. Eli spiked Fitz's drink so he puked.
  8. Fitz almost stabbed Eli, causing the school to go into a lockdown.
  9. Holly J performed a strip tease to Sav so... actually, I don't know why. They were basically a couple by that point, so it's not like she needed that to win him over, or anything.
  10. The principal changes everything at the school, because things got too out of control.
  11. Alli and Bianca went to a self esteem seminar because people found out about their Boiler Room moments.
  12. Alli changes schools because she feels that her reputation is ruined.
  13. Oh, and the principal banned clubs without teacher supervision. Chantay worked hard to get them back.
  14. Oh yeah, the changes. Uniforms, no PDA, student IDs and no teacher-less clubs.
I think I covered everything that happened in that arc. Hey, Degrassi, you think that's tough? I used to go to a school that wouldn't let us talk during lunch because we were 'too loud' during the Christmas concert (Private school, so don't worry about religion in schools or anything :P). I wish those were our conditions.

And finally, last night:
Fiona and Adam hook up. Fiona suddenly becomes an alcoholic. Adam is okay with it, because Fiona only likes him with alcohol. Holly J and Adam are worried for Fiona. Intervention time. Fiona is pissed at Adam. Holly J shows Fiona's journal entry on Adam being all lovey dovey and stuff. But a lot of people think it's for Holly J, because the promos keep implying Fiona is a lesbian, including scenes. That would also explain why Fiona would want to kiss Adam, who is a female-to-male trans-gender person.
Anya and her Mom go to the hospital to find out if Anya's Mom recovered from cancer. She did. Anya is upset though, because she won't see her Mom's 25 year old doctor anymore. However, she finds out that he's gonna go out on a date at a restaurant Friday, at 7. So guess what she does? And she brings along Holly J, who fake chokes on an olive, so the doctor could  notice Anya. Then some stuff happens, but Anya and the doctor are now a couple! Anya, who is 17, is happy that she's dating her dream crush, but wholesome, strip-teasing Holly J is mortified! Anya and the Doctor go out, kiss and their relationship actually works out, until her curfew. The doctor (I'm just gonna call him Chris) is confused because's she's '20', until Anya says it's her own imposed curfew. Then more stuff happens and Anya almost went away for the weekend with Chris. But her Mom finds out and makes her tell the truth! Then Anya and Chris 'break up'.... but Chris said he'd call her once she turns 18.
And in the 3rd plot of the episode, Dave (I think) gets a new tall girlfriend. He feels insecure, so he dumps her. Then his friends convinced him he's a douche and should go out with her again. She accepts. Honey, if he called you a giraffe once, he'll call you a giraffe again! Oh, and Dan Schneider called. He wants his plot back. Well, not really, but, I remember a show or cartoon did this plot once. Maybe it was The Weekenders

And next week, Riley comes out to his Mom and Bianca is still being a slut. I hope they keep up these hour long episodes. The wait is too long!

Starting Over

Well, our Sims 3 laptop died yesterday. I'm pissed off about it. Our laptop charger had been acting really stupid lately. Like, we could only plug it in one specific outlet and other ones wouldn't charge it. So then, it died. And new charger parts cost from 30 to 50 dollars, and who knows when they'll ship it to our house. :| And I had like no homework this weekend, AND winter break is coming up. :(
So then SS and I checked our other laptop and computer, to see if we could play the Sims 3 on them. According to System Requirements Lab, both of our computers failed. My Dad has a really fancy computer that probably can play it, but he gets possessive over it. Once I had to print out a slide show, but only that computer has Microsoft Power Point or whatever it's called, so I used that one to print it out. Then when he came home he flipped and went all 'If something happens to this computer, it's YOUR fault'. I remember once he tried to fix our printer/scanner/copier, but then it broke and he acted like it was our fault. Oh, and once he downloaded some annoying virus scanner thing on our computer, and it's always downloading crap to make sure there aren't any viruses or whatever. He's acting like anytime I touch a computer, something explodes. Sure, I could be a little clumsy with the laptop, but it's not like he's always perfect with the computer, either.
And I wanted to buy Late Night with some birthday money, too. I don't care about 'boycotting'  EA, because people will still buy their games the second they come out, and it's not like my purchase is going to necessarily keep EA open. I guess this is a sign that I need to wait more.
Maybe I can go back to Zoo Tycoon 2? I got the Ultimate Collection one for like 40 dollars (Yeah, like 5 games [4 expansions + 1 base game] for 40 dollars :D), but I only played for a few months, because then that computer got screwed over. Oh, and their CC community makes full expansion packs for free, 4 years after the official games stopped coming out. [/shameless plug in]
But on a happier note, happy 1 year anniversary to the Timbersons! I'd make an update, but all of the pictures are saved on my other laptop that died. :(

Legacy Rant

I hate it when I’m reading like 5 legacies at a time and I get all of them confused with each other. They’re great, but I swear, all of their Sims look the same, their (LiveJournal BTW) blog layouts look the same… EVERYTHING is the same. So I don’t even know what I’m reading anymore. Sad smile I remember a few years ago when I was reading like 90 legacies or something, I just made a Wordpad document with little notes and stuff about their Sims, with custom fonts and colors to specifically remember who was who. Maybe I should do that again.

And most of their updates are so sporadic that I even forget to check their page sometimes. Smile with tongue out I have like a bookmark folder of legacies that haven’t been updated for months, or legacies I haven’t checked and forgot I read them. D:

Maybe I should add them to the nav bar on the right? Smile with tongue out

New Semester Stress

Two days into the new semester, AKA right after midterms, and what do I have to do?

- A 26 page APUSH outline. There are pictures and stuff, but still. It takes me like 5 hours to do a 20 paged one.

- A creative writing piece for English. Like, based off of The Catcher in the Rye. With JD Salinger’s writing style. I just have to revise it, but it’s still a hassle.

- A presentation on a cell project (I did that this weekend so I guess that’s okay)

- A quiz on computer science stuff.

- A Spanish Quiz.

-_________________- Ugh.

On the plus side, Roseanne had a Super Bowl commercial yesterday, but the Steelers lost. And we only have 1 snow day left. Disappointed smile

9 school days until winter break!

I Never Thought I Would Say This…

But I think I became a soap opera addict. xD Okay, well, teen soap opera. Degrassi. For those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s basically a Canadian high school/town and the lives of It’s students. It used to be ‘good’, like with real issues and plots and stuff, but after American parents got all angry, so they had to turn it down a little. Now it’s just another teen soap opera. Well, they still have ‘issues’, but it’s not as scandalous anymore, if that makes sense.

But yeah. It all started out when I didn’t have anything to watch on Nick @ Nite or TVLand, and I remembered that we have TeeNick now, so I checked what was on, and it was Degrassi. I never thought I would like it and I thought it would be fun to make fun of them, but… yeah, that didn’t work out. I watched like 4 episodes last night, and 6 today. I’m such a soap opera junkie. Smile with tongue out

I guess I also like that it’s on TeeNick. I like how now it’s not just random reruns of Nick’s library from the 90’s, but they have a ‘theme’, if that makes sense. They know it’s for teens, not preteens who think they’re cool, or people in their 20’s who still live at home and sit in their pajamas all day. Seriously. The old The N used to have a lot of texting commercials, and promotions for Nickelodeon shows on. And those online college commercials. There was this one girl in the commercials who claimed people who went to online colleges only went to online college so they could be in their pajamas all day. :/

And that was just the COMMERCIALS. The actual shows on were either iCarly, True Jackson VP, and whatever else you could normally watch on Nickelodeon. I don’t know about other people, but The N was a premium channel for me, so I got annoyed when I saw Miranda Cosgrove on yet another channel. Or even worse, shows from the 90s which I’ve NEVER seen anyone complain about missing, like all of those game shows. At least All That and stuff were well known. But most of these short lived game shows were just irritating. Now, they have Ned’s Declassified (Which is like one of my favorite shows of all time), Drake & Josh (Which is still somehow relevant after like 3 or 4 years of cancellation), Zoey 101, What I like about you (I have a feeling Dan Schneider forced them to do it), That 70’s show (Which I never grew to like, but whatever), Degrassi, and some other show called Gigantic.

I guess I also like it compared to it’s competition, ABC Family. ABC Family also has syndication (except it’s older and ABC-owned, with exceptions like That 70’s show) and teen ‘dramas’, like Secret Life of an American Teenager (Or that pregnant show, if you’ve seen ads), Pretty Little Liars (Or the one with the real-live bratz dolls lying down on the ground) and so on. There aren’t texting commercials, either! But… the commercials are aimed at women. I’m not sexist, but it’s awkward to watch commercials about air fresheners, breakfast foods, microwavable stuff, and dog food. Oh, and… female hygiene stuff. At least TeeNick has ProActive and stuff.

TeeNick is also nice because it’s a nice escape from overexposed tween stars. It’s nice to not see a Miranda Cosgrove anything in between iCarly episodes, or not seeing Big Time Rush or Victorious on every second of the day. Degrassi has like 20 characters credited in their theme song, and each episode only revolves around a few of the kids, so it’s not like they try fitting in everyone everyday, and I don’t get bored from watching the same characters over and over again. Then again, I watched a marathon, so I’d just wait an hour or so to see ‘my’ characters. If I’d be watching once a week, I’d hate to wait a month to see plots I care about. But I heard they’re trying out an episode a night, so… yeah. But if the main audience is high schoolers, I could see how someone could lose track of the show easily.

So, would I recommend Degrassi? If you can handle sappy drama, fake romances and issues, and unrealistically attractive people, then yes. But do to all the kissing and ‘I think I’m ready for my first time’ plots, I have to change the channel or mute when my parents come in the room, so don’t expect wholesome stuff. It’s extremely easily to get hooked to, too.

And here’s a character from Degrassi that looks like they have Custom content hair.

I guess that’s how NewSea wanted it to look.

I finished half of my homework, so now I have to type up my cell project and actually do it. The weather isn’t that bad over here, today.

Breaktime

I finished my midterms! Smile And I got an 85 on my APUSH midterm and a 94 on my Spanish midterm! But now, I’m feeling tired and lazy and I just want to relax, so don’t expect too much this weekend. Smile with tongue out And NJ is getting a storm tomorrow, and I have a lot of homework to do, so… yeah.

But to make this post more content-filled… the Charlie Sheen stuff is bothering me. If he was 20 years younger, and Charlotte instead of Charlie, he’d be on Yahoo within seconds, and his reputation would be ruined. But there’s a double standard for alcoholic, middle aged men? Interesting.

Ugh, I just realized that we might possibly have a tiny chance of a black out tomorrow. Which means I might not be able to work on my project. So…. D:.

Cool!

Monday, my birthday, went well. Open-mouthed smile And today, I have a snow day. I checked my email, and guess what I saw?

EA was giving me an exclusive, free birthday set?!?!

Then I read the asterisk.

Basically, I have to buy SimPoints to enjoy the discount thing.

Okay, so I just skimmed through it, and they gave a special code which I get to redeem. Maybe I can still get something? Smile with tongue out

(10 minutes later)

I did! I got a birthday set thing with a stuffed bear, balloons and flowers. Open-mouthed smile Better than nothing, right? Last year, I just got a 25% off thing from the EA store. I think I got the same thing this year. But I prefer buying stuff with CDs and like, having a physical copy of stuff, so it’s pretty useless to me. Smile with tongue out

I realized I’m not the first person to have a birthday in the community, but I never knew EA cared about their customers. If you could call lousy marketing ‘caring’.

But my Sims laptop broke… so D:.
