So, with the recent anti-EA trend sweeping the Sims Community, I decided to go on a mini tirade against them yesterday. Okay, so it was just me emailing companies that won’t do anything to take me seriously, but hey, I did something.
- I emailed companies. Like, 4 or 5 different major websites. I’m not sure if I’ll get a reply, but hey, if I got one before, I could get one now too, right? I talked about the gifting bans, mostly, but if I have time today, I’ll try emailing them again about the Spyware stuff on AE’s blog.
- I went on the EA forum to… hunt Jarsie9 down and report her for literally 90% of her posts. I don’t care if she’s some senile old woman who doesn’t know how to treat people because she lives far away from everyone so she deluded herself into thinking that online arguments count as relationships. She should invest her Internet bills and Sims allowance on a therapist, or adopt something from an animal shelter. No, wait. That would be animal abuse. Maybe a pet rock or flower first. Maybe. Oh, and is there a penalty for reporting people too much? I don’t want to get banned on the EA forum, even if it’s crap. It’s a pride thing. :P
- And this isn’t Sims related, but… I started watching Cougar Town! I like it. It’s funny(The drinking games and balloon hunts made me LOL) and I <3 Courtney Cox because of Friends. I regret not watching the first season, but to be fair, I’m watching this season on Free on Demand(Yeah, like I have time to watch TV on a Wednesday night!) until I have time to catch up or whatever. Jen Aniston’s guest appearance made me LOL, too.
- Oh, and back to the Sims stuff. My laptop charger thing fell out and I didn’t notice and then my laptop shut down on me while I was playing the Sims. :( My fault, but I’ll blame it on EA. :P
- Straying away from the Sims again. I watched the London episode of Total Drama World Tour, and Gwen really became annoying. Cheating is cheating. I don’t care if it’s ‘twu luv’ emo style. And why did Duncan get to vote? He just got brought into the game, not knowing what was going on. Duncan and Tyler shouldn’t have voted with Alejandro, especially if Alejandro was the first one out of the challenge. They should really show who voted for who(m?) in a special episode. :P Yes, I’m the only person who would watch it… but they made one for Total Drama Island that was just ‘special edition blooper clips’ so Teletoon doesn’t really have priorities when it comes to airing and making episodes.
- I watched that The Nanny: Fran Unfiltered! marathon on Nick @ Nite. It makes me sad how the only time I could watch The Nanny is when Roseanne is on. And George Lopez too. WHY? I have to put up with like 10 hours of My Wife and Kids and Everybody Loves Raymond, but when those three shows are on, they get shoehorned into like the 2:00 AM slot on weekends. And then Friends is getting screwed around on TBS, because of Everybody Loves Raymond. And I’d say that the episodes the Nick @ Nite executives picked were alright-ish. I see like 1 or 2 of them on a monthly basis, so the only ‘controversial’ episodes that were played were… Fran considering going to a sperm bank, Fran accidentally kidnapping a child, Maxwell’s assistant having a crush on Fran, and the assistant was a lesbian(No, not CC. :P) and… yeah. They made the episodes sound like never before seen, or lost episodes, but it was only ‘Oh, that’s an… interesting scenario. Now, let me change the channel before I hear that laugh again.’ stuff. And it was sponsored by Butterfingers. The candy bar. Yes, I’m confused on why chocolate candy is sponsoring a marathon for The Nanny, too.
And in other news. Ugh. I just found out that the Sims 3 console has kids and life cycles(And weather for the Wii! :D) available. It sounds tempting: Legacies without the lag. But no. I can’t give in to EA. Especially if a majority of my funds go to fast food and Aeropostale at the mall.
