Happy Halloween!

image

I know it isn’t until tomorrow, but I felt like making a post about Halloween today. :P

So, any plans? I’m too old to trick or treat, as well as I didn’t buy a costume this year(Does Party City even have anything for boy teens anymore?), so I’ll probably be passing out candy instead. :)

Tonight? I think I’m going to the mall, then coming back to finish stuff homework like making flash cards for SAT Prep, and reading Misery by Stephen King. I want to watch mischief-nighters from inside, so I know who to act snarkier to, now. :P Just kidding, of course, but it would be entertaining to see who plans on vandalizing my house tonight. Hmm… my house. That sounds weird. The house that my family and I live in? Our house? Eh, whatever.

I remember in my old town, the teens used to ruin everything for mischief night. As in, spray paint, shaving cream, toilet paper, eggs, and so on. It would look so cool the next day, with toilet paper hanging from trees and everything. Okay, so maybe as an 8 year old, I didn’t understand that people had to clean it up, but hey, it looked scenic in a Tumblr-photographer way. :P Now in my newish town, people just vandalize. Like, they flat out just throw eggs and shaving cream and crap and mess up stuff. For a good week or so before October 30th, everyone in my school just talks about strategy for mischief night. I mean, the town doesn’t get that affected, but the intentions aren’t as playful. Basically SS summarized my thoughts. Mischief night is honestly a waste of resources. Seriously, sending supplies to charities is too expensive, but it’s okay to waste toilet paper on trees? :/

I made the banner above in GIMP and some Windows Live Writer effects. Um, the candy corn used for the picture is from Google. :P

Yesterday in school, some people had interesting costumes. There were a lot of Snookis. Girls and guys *Shutters*. There were some guys dressed in girl costumes too, like a guy in a tight fairy costume. *Shutters even more*. Some creative costumes I saw were… Smurfs, The Scooby Doo kids, the Cookie Monster, the Blue Man group, hippies, 80’s people, and… yeah.

I want to play Sims tonight to mess around in CAS and make more Halloween themed Sims. SS and I made 3 this week. :P That was before the patch issue. :/ It bothers me how some people have mods for everything and nothing ever happens to their game, but SS and I only have custom content and suddenly the game decides not to work. I’m not saying anyone should have a poorly made game, but just my opinions on this issue. :P

OH, yeah. I forgot. Yesterday, on the news, I watch watching some human interest story about kids giving away their Halloween candy because it ruins their teeth, and giving them to the troops in the Middle East… so they could give the candy to the kids of Iraq and stuff. At first, I thought ‘Aw, how sweet’, but then my Dad pointed out that they’re taking candy from privileged kids who can afford dental care, and giving it to kids who can’t even go to school, let alone pay for a cavity. I understand that the people had good intentions, but shouldn’t they think more about these kinds of stuff?

This blog post became too long and ramble-y. So, uh, have a Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it!

I Literally Can’t Play Sims Anymore

So yesterday I had 3 tests, and in general, a rough week. I planned on just playing Sims yesterday to catch up with the Timbersons. But guess what? As soon as I start playing, the game goes really dark, so I have to tilt the laptop screen a lot to get some detail. And it takes forever to readjust it back to normal. Then it goes back to the dark screen.

Then, I tried to get that new patch. It wouldn’t let me get it, because I needed something additional on my computer? What? A 10 month old laptop is suddenly too old for the Sims? :/ So I tried to play without the patch, and it wouldn’t let me! As in, it literally crashed/loaded forever when I tried starting the Timbersons.

I was playing around in CAS earlier this week and that kinda went okay. But ugh!?! I can’t play with a family that I’ve been playing with since February? And you know what’s ironic? SS and I made the Timbersons because our other legacy got ruined. So basically, EA wants us to keep making new crap until our laptop run out of memory and they take our money and we literally can’t play anymore? WHAT?

Anorexic Blogger Said WHAT?!?

No, not anyone in the Sims community. :P

So, what do you think of a show with overweight people? What do you think of overweight hugs and kisses?

Remember how I mentioned somewhere this week that I stopped watching Mike & Molly because of the somewhat creepy sex jokes? Guess what? Marie Claire or whatever had some lame-o blogger make some lame-o post about how Mike & Molly grosses her out because they’re 'fat’ and clearly, they don’t deserve to be on TV! I’d give them a link, but that filthy troll bag doesn’t even deserve a link over here.

Seriously, WTH? That is honestly the stupidest opinion I have heard. M&M are not grossly obese, and even if they are, Maura Kelly or whatever the hell her name was is stupid for calling a large part of her audience disgustingly fat! Oh, pardon me, MK, I go to the mall, eat chocolate, and don’t work out. Sorry for hugging my parents, I didn’t know my fat was bulging out of my sweatpants. I didn’t know that the powers that be in anorexic, plastic, nose job land were watching me.

Oh, and guess what? MK? There are fatter people that exist. While M&M can lose weight, at least they’re self aware. I’ve seen people who wear size 0s when they clearly aren’t 0s, but I have the decency to not say anything. One of my personal mottos is ‘I don’t hate you for how you look. I hate you for who you are’. Maura, sweetie, you could’ve just call the writing a cliché and lie through your teeth, but instead, you decide to be a dirty little troll bag. There’s a special term for people like you.  It’s

STUPID, FILTHY, GROSS, DISGUSTING, SIZEIST, SLEEZY, IGNORANT, HATEFUL, CLASSLESS, LITTLE POWERLESS TROLL.

Wait, it can’t be. A 12 worded insult? Only one person has that much hate and idiocy. And Maura. Hmmm…. doesn’t that sound a lot like Maria? As in, Jarsie9? Or am I just sleep deprived?

Mike and Molly really need their own tag over here.

Just a Note

I’m going to be really busy until… next Wednesday? Or at least until this Friday. I have three tests then. :( And then I get off next Thursday and Friday. But I have a lot of end of marking period stuff to do… so yikes. I have to catch up on like 4 legacies and stories. And the new patch. Hopefully, everything will work?

And in other news, I stopped watching Mike And Molly. They had too much sex jokes which were on the disturbing side. As in, I don’t need to hear that on a Monday night kind of gross. But Total Drama World Tour just got so much better! O: I could’ve gone without the Courtney/Duncan/Gwen love triangle this season, but whatever.

I can’t believe we’re almost done with 1/4th of the school year! Time flies by too quickly! … And so does this blog post! Adios! :P

The Scariest Thing on Disney Channel This October

Every October, Disney Channel has a bunch of ‘scary’ episodes of shows, movies, commercials, bumpers, and everything. But do you want to know what the really scary thing is, this year?

That new Shake it Up show on Disney Channel. The plot is two best friends Bella(Redhead) and Zendaya(Racially ambiguous girl) (Yes, I forgot the characters’ names) get a job on a dance show called Shake it Up Chicago or something, and they have to deal with the day to day problems of being famous. Basically, if Sonny with a Chance and Victorious had a baby, then this is what that show would be. I’m disappointed in Disney for ditching the normal person approach after Good Luck Charlie, but that’s not the real reason why this show scares me.

Bella and Zendaya are 13 and 14 years old respectively. They look way too skinny for their age(s?). And this might be my personal preference on makeup on girls, but isn’t middle school a little too early to buy out the CoverGirl aisle at Kmart? Their clothing also looks, um, revealing. In picture 3, you could see Bella’s back, which looks way too skinny. And according to the source, that picture was over a year ago. At the age of 12. They can dress however they want, but if the Glee kids get into trouble with PTC over a GQ photoshoot, and they’re in their mid twenties, why are these girls who are barely teens allowed to wear stuff that girls can’t even wear in my high school?! No, I’m not saying that I’m a perv who wants to look at girls in Bratz-esque outfits all day, but, um, if a high school student isn’t allowed to wear something that a 13 year old can(On a kids’ channel!), doesn’t that say something? Besides, the oldest kid on the show is like, 19. Knowing Disney, they’ll be pushing a romance, so, um, how is a slutty 13 year old supposed to fall in love with a desperate 19 year old realistically? :/

I mean, they could wear whatever they’d like, but, if I saw these kids in the mall, I’d think they’re wannabe middle schoolers. Maybe I’m just a bit old fashioned when it comes to clothes and make up, but my cousin, who’s 11, has been ‘dieting’(Well, not seriously, but she has horrible self esteem. Then again, she shares a room with her gym attending, fake tanned sisters who are a few years older than her… so yeah) since 2008 because people like Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato make her feel fat. She’s not huge, especially compared to other people in today’s society, but 11 year old girls shouldn’t have to feel judged, fat, or forced to shop at Hollister, Aeropostale, and Abercrombie and Fitch.

I’m not hating Bella and Zedaya, but honestly. Would Disney love them if they dressed in 20 layers of turtlenecks with no makeup?

Will I still watch the show? Yes, probably. Do I wish Bella and Zedaya luck? Yes. Those two need all the guidance in the world, at this point.

Time for an inevitable IRL post!

Anyway. This school year, my school has added an ID system needed to enter bathrooms. You can also use them as a debit card for buying lunch. The school also has an online grade book now. I’m against both. I mean, it’s great we’re moving forward, but I guess there are several main points that piss me off.

  1. What if I forget my ID? Monday, I forgot my ID on my nightstand in my bedroom and I had to hold it in for most of the afternoon. I’m not one of those stoners who cut class 24/7! But I had to be punished because the school only gave us one day to phase us into the system. Sure, it’s good if some smoker starts a fire, or if a robbery or assault happens, but hey, life isn’t an ABCFamily movie. Those occasions that will ‘help’ our school will happen once a school year. And now the school knows when I go into the bathroom by logging in my ID’s scans? Why? I wash my hands at lunch, so what are they going to do? Tell me I go to the bathroom too much? They said they would do that, but I’m not sure if they have a system which tells them if it’s at lunch. I just don’t want the person in charge of it to smirk ‘Hm… student 12345 goes to the bathroom a lot o.O Hey, guys, look! He went to the bathroom every day this week!’
  2. What if someone steals my ID, and uses it for the bathroom stuff, and I get in trouble? I know this is speculation, but really. Wouldn’t the school think of these things more?
  3. Online gradebook: So, what if my teacher types in ‘05' instead of ‘95’? I get a lecture and some progress report to scare my parents? And I tell my parents most(As in, 95%) of my grades. I understand that if I do bad on a quiz, it’s my fault. But there are certain occasions where I know that I just couldn’t study and I could get better grades if I tried, and the only thing that would happen if I tell my parents is them lecturing me. And some of my teachers are actually telling me that they’re not gonna tell us our grades in class, because we could see them online. I haven’t signed up for an account yet, so I might never see some grades because my teachers are feeling lazy?
  4. The debit card system. I just get lunch from home, but my classes are pretty far from the cafeteria, so getting a table is hard. Now that people could just swipe for food, getting a table will be even harder. :|
  5. The fact that the recent economic crisis made the school get rid of some teachers, classes, and other budget cuts, but we magically have the funds to have all of these features.

YES!

Apparently, Jarsie9 has been banned! Thank you Jen for telling me! Apparently, my little plan finally worked.

Yes, I reported her like hell Monday. It was my own Columbus Day celebration. ;D I hope she takes the time to learn from her mistakes, invest in a stable therapist, and donate to Sara’s Heers to Hope.

I wonder how she would react against EA. Maybe she can use her crankiness for good?

And I still have to do my English and Spanish homework. D:

So today, I learned anything is possible. Even trying to finish my endless amount of homework.
