Words can not describe how happy I am right now

Yay, finals are over and tomorrow school ends. [: And I caught up a lot on Simming today. Like in game. :P So expect me to post a lot until Sunday, because I have camp then.

Don’t worry, I’m still here. :P And finals are really horrible. I hate how my parents are all ‘you’ve been sitting down for 20 seconds straight go back to work’ and stuff. I came home yesterday ~ 1 PM(or 13:00 for you military time users) and I told my parents ‘Just to let you know, I’m not even going to bother touching my books today for Monday’s finals’. That, combined with the fact that I got hit in the head by a basketball at full speed by some senior(I assume) @rsehole earlier that day, meant I had a headache, and studying about Spanish verbs and Mao Zedong wouldn’t really help. Besides, if I’d study Friday and if the exams are MORE than 2 days later, why the fudge would that help? And when I told my parents that, they said ‘Well, study everyday’. Not just 'Oh, I’ll just rewrite my notes and read my study guide’ studying, but hardcore, solitary confinement(When you’re a twin, doing homework in the same room can start a lot of off topicness.) studying. And when I objected(Mom, Dad. I’m a teenager! I need to have FUN! I need to go out! Especially on a weekend so close to summer, right after finals!) the response I got? It was more or less…

“Well, we’re going out to dinner later, then tomorrow you either have youth group or going to the movies with Dad, and Sunday, you have a Church picnic”.

… I told them that that was unfair, and we always come home from the (annual) picnic pissed off, and then I asked them why we can’t just study Sunday instead of going there.

“Well, it’ll be fun. You never know what could happen.”

Um, Mom, Dad, are we talking about the same thing here? It’s going to be like this

1. 5 year olds act annoying because they can’t all go in the bouncy castle thing at once.
2. My brother and I just go in a corner.
3. My Mom ‘casually’ comes and ‘hints’ at telling us to eat. (We’re picky eaters, and the food there isn’t the best. :X)
4. We hang out with friends/people our age, my Mom or Grandma comes again, ‘hinting’ at us to play in the games being hosted, such as musical chairs, ice cream eating contests, and so on. Embarrassing, right?
5. My parents complain about how shy/quiet my brother and I are, and the one time we do something mildly ‘bad’ (Going on a rather large Church roof, which was flat or taking a walk with friends from #4 and getting yelled at by a Thwoman telling us to ‘get off her property’), they act like we’re from juvie(juvenile delinquent) or something.

So ugh. I am going to study today, but I wanna skip the picnic and possibly youth group. And then when my school ends Tuesday, I leave for camp the following Sunday. And when I return, I have a buttload of summer reading (1 AP assignment with like 3 books; 1 honors assignment, and 2 regular books), and last summer, my Mom got mad at me for taking Sundays off from Summer reading( If you read Great Expectations 2 hours a day, 6 days a week for a month, one day a week is NOT a crime!).

So to sum up this post…

• My parents are forcing me to study, even though I will.
• They want me to skip going to the mall and stuff to go to youth group or Church.
• The picnic ends up an epic failure anyway, yet my parents insist on going. Though to be fair, my brother and I won a lot of stuff at the Graduation-thing so not going would be rude.
• Studying something for 2 days in advance WILL NOT HELP ANYONE. Let me study hardcore closer to the exam, kthnx.
• This summer will be full of summer reading.

Ugh, sorry for making it so long. I hate making IRL themed posts because nobody likes reading them, but I needed to say this.

A mini-break

So, with finals starting Wednesday for me, I have to study my butt off until next Monday, the 21st. I have math the first day, so that’s probably the hardest topic for me, so once I get that over with, I might have time for a quick post.

And in the Timbersons, let’s just say I’m ahead from what I’m posting. :x And that some elder Sims seriously clog up my houses because they get like +6000 points for everything they do, and they all are like ~250 days old. I play in long mode(Or whatever the second longest option was called xD), but seriously, I hate how long it takes for one empty slot in the house.

And for the World Cup, I have no specific team to root for at the moment, but I guess America? And I really hope the loud annoying people at my school won’t be all ‘YAY WOO MY COUNTRY IS WINNING! YOUR COUNTRY SUCKS [explicit stuff here] FROM MY COUNTRY.’ Seriously, it’s like what, the fourth day, and people are already ‘Country 1 SCORED PAYBACK TIME Country 2 D:<’ or whatever. I can’t exactly watch too much of the World Cup, because of 1) Finals, 2) My parents record a lot of soap operas on television, so it’s rare that I could watch without having to worry about who’s recording what, and 3) I’m going to camp from the 27th to the 4th. I’m just using Yahoo to tell me who’s winning and stuff. :]

Expansion Pack Rumors

Ambitions has barely been out for two weeks, and people are already complaining wondering what the next expansion pack will be. I mean, I love to guess and speculate that stuff too(I use to practically live in the Ideas and Feedback board!), but I at least wait until I understand the current expansion pack or have it.

So, the topic started out with…

Yeah, After Dark sounds more like an edgy romance expansion. Not like taking it slow and steady, but affairs, cheating, and stuff that would make even Maury cringe. But yeah, you get the idea. Fill in the blanks with your own imagination.

But at least we can all safely agree on one thing!

And to be honest, I don’t see why everyone’s all “OHEMGEE I LOVE EA WHAT’S THE NEXT EXPANSION PACK!? <3”. I thought most people agreed that they’d try to boycott EA after Ambitions. I don’t know if I’d keep that promise, though. I’d buy a game depending on my opinion on it, not some people’s opinions over the Internet, as cruel as it sounds.

And remember this post from Kelle’s blog? I tried… and let’s just say the people on The Sims 3 page are rude.

! My reaction was literally “:O”. I can’t believe my blog got mentioned on VidKid’s blog and  The Mare’s Nest! Yes, I realize that fame isn’t the only reason for blogging, and I blog for enjoyment, not fame(Alone, anyway. :P Just kidding, of course), but being mentioned on either of those two blogs is a major motivation, to me, anyway. So thank you, Vidkid20, and the Mare’s Trio(Is that what they’re called? Or just The Mares?).

And I have to do homework now, so bye.

I GOT A REPLY!!!!!

Remember this post from a while back? Guess what? I started finding sites to complain to about EA, and I actually got a reply from one!

I’m not sure how clear the quality of the picture is, but basically, they told me “We suggest that you search for other “gripe sites” on the internet, where dissatisfied customers of EA post their complaints. You will reach many more people that way and your voice can be heard.”

They even said they have received other similar complaints! THAT MEANS SOMEONE MIGHT BE LISTENING AND HELP IS ON IT’S WAY! :D

Or this is just a computer generated email, but I doubt it, because of the typo.

So, I googled “gripe sites” and I found this. Have fun with it. ;D

So remember, keep sending those emails, and tell others about this.

 

On a side note, I’ve fallen victim to those animal rubber bands popping all over the US. I won’t buy one(5 dollars for themed rubber bands in a recession!? Yeah, right!), but if I’m offered one, I won’t refuse. :P
