How I spent my Saturday

So, with the recent anti-EA trend sweeping the Sims Community, I decided to go on a mini tirade against them yesterday. Okay, so it was just me emailing companies that won’t do anything to take me seriously, but hey, I did something.

  • I emailed companies. Like, 4 or 5 different major websites. I’m not sure if I’ll get a reply, but hey, if I got one before, I could get one now too, right? I talked about the gifting bans, mostly, but if I have time today, I’ll try emailing them again about the Spyware stuff on AE’s blog.
  • I went on the EA forum to… hunt Jarsie9 down and report her for literally 90% of her posts. I don’t care if she’s some senile old woman who doesn’t know how to treat people because she lives far away from everyone so she deluded herself into thinking that online arguments count as relationships. She should invest her Internet bills and Sims allowance on a therapist, or adopt something from an animal shelter. No, wait. That would be animal abuse. Maybe a pet rock or flower first. Maybe. Oh, and is there a penalty for reporting people too much? I don’t want to get banned on the EA forum, even if it’s crap. It’s a pride thing. :P
  • And this isn’t Sims related, but… I started watching Cougar Town! I like it. It’s funny(The drinking games and balloon hunts made me LOL) and I <3 Courtney Cox because of Friends. I regret not watching the first season, but to be fair, I’m watching this season on Free on Demand(Yeah, like I have time to watch TV on a Wednesday night!) until I have time to catch up or whatever. Jen Aniston’s guest appearance made me LOL, too.
  • Oh, and back to the Sims stuff. My laptop charger thing fell out and I didn’t notice and then my laptop shut down on me while I was playing the Sims. :( My fault, but I’ll blame it on EA. :P
  • Straying away from the Sims again. I watched the London episode of Total Drama World Tour, and Gwen really became annoying. Cheating is cheating. I don’t care if it’s ‘twu luv’ emo style. And why did Duncan get to vote? He just got brought into the game, not knowing what was going on. Duncan and Tyler shouldn’t have voted with Alejandro, especially if Alejandro was the first one out of the challenge. They should really show who voted for who(m?) in a special episode. :P Yes, I’m the only person who would watch it… but they made one for Total Drama Island that was just ‘special edition blooper clips’ so Teletoon doesn’t really have priorities when it comes to airing and making episodes.
  • I watched that The Nanny: Fran Unfiltered! marathon on Nick @ Nite. It makes me sad how the only time I could watch The Nanny is when Roseanne is on. And George Lopez too. WHY? I have to put up with like 10 hours of My Wife and Kids and Everybody Loves Raymond, but when those three shows are on, they get shoehorned into like the 2:00 AM slot on weekends. And then Friends is getting screwed around on TBS, because of Everybody Loves Raymond. And I’d say that the episodes the Nick @ Nite executives picked were alright-ish. I see like 1 or 2 of them on a monthly basis, so the only ‘controversial’ episodes that were played were… Fran considering going to a sperm bank, Fran accidentally kidnapping a child, Maxwell’s assistant having a crush on Fran, and the assistant was a lesbian(No, not CC. :P) and… yeah. They made the episodes sound like never before seen, or lost episodes, but it was only ‘Oh, that’s an… interesting scenario. Now, let me change the channel before I hear that laugh again.’ stuff. And it was sponsored by Butterfingers. The candy bar. Yes, I’m confused on why chocolate candy is sponsoring a marathon for The Nanny, too.

And in other news. Ugh. I just found out that the Sims 3 console has kids and life cycles(And weather for the Wii! :D) available. It sounds tempting: Legacies without the lag. But no. I can’t give in to EA. Especially if a majority of my funds go to fast food and Aeropostale at the mall.

Dear EA,

Grow up. Look, I’m going to tell you as simply as possible: People don’t like you if you act stupid or jerkish. People will complain if you don’t know how to treat a forum. So if you think you got into deep shit before, guess again. I will complain to video game magazines and news sources online. And I’m pretty sure others will, too. Basically, your reputation will snowball into oblivion because we, the Simmers, are fed up with your actions. Why did you ban people who basically kept your asses out of bankruptcy? Seriously. Grow up. Learn how to treat people. And most importantly, ban Jarsie9. I want to know why they think the way they do. Honestly, do they think these members have too much power and could manipulate the community? Don’t worry EA, that’s why we have blogs. People already do that. So basically, you just failed at your own game. Don’t ban people. TELL them why you banned them. Let them argue about it. Have more than one power crazy creep keep forum members or not. And don’t forget, fix your game. With Late Night coming up, more and more people are getting fed up with your antics, so every move you make could turn off a potential customer.

Sincerely,

ArmenianTwin95.

Oh, and I’m only typing this now, all tired and in 2:30 AM because I’m going to be focused on homework tomorrow, so I won’t have the time to write this, and I’ll forget about it. So, um…. happy Saturday! I need to sleep more. :P

Today, I feel...

Upset. HP, you suck. The printing company, by the way. I was trying to print something out, but it didn't work, so I had to waste, at this moment, 3 hours for pressing print and playing around with their faulty equipment. But today I had no homework. So I just wasted 3 hours just to find out that the people who make HP printers don't know what a paper jam is. And I've had a lot of homework for the past week. Like, 7 hours everyday. So, the one day I get a break, and then HP decides to ruin it for me. Ugh. And something tells me that tomorrow and the weekend aren't going to be nice, either. And I'm becoming sick, too. :( Ugh. I need my own Me day. Like, no listening to parents, teachers, or anyone else. Just playing Sims, watching TV, and not being stressed out. I don't care if it sounds selfish or lazy. Guess what? I'm a human. We're all lazy and selfish. Some of us are just self aware.

I apologize if this post sounds angry. I am angry right now. So I'm probably being irrational. I mean, my ideal me day sounds boring and depressing now that I think of it, but you know what? I'm tired of seeing people who don't care about anything get by in life, and frankly, a printing company isn't going to tell me what I can and can't do.

Thank you, AE!

I fixed the banner, so now it’s centered and my inner OCD-ness won’t get annoyed. :P I should really learn to just make the banner match Blogger’s header requirement stuff. I guess I’m too late for that, though. :P But yeah, thank you, AE for posting that link. :)

In other news, I made 103 blog posts? Already? :o

Well, I have to go do my homework and stuff now.

…Wait, are my posts always this short and restating how much schoolwork I have? No wonder I have 103 blog posts. xD

New Layout!

Hi guys. I was kind of procrastinating on my homework(Hey, I did my English and half of my SAT Prep! Doesn’t that count for something?) and I decided I might as well make the new blog layout. I love it. Or at least the banner. I might change the main theme if I get bored of it. It looks kind of blocky for me. Oh, and I don’t know how to center the banner. D: Any help?

I really hope the weather gets better here. There’s a lot of trees here, so wind and rain on a Saturday night practically equal a blackout. And if I have all this homework to finish… yeah, that’s not a pretty thought.

Mel and Joe is Gonna Go

Okay, so it hasn’t been confirmed yet… but ABCFamily’s Melissa & Joey is probably gonna be cancelled in a few weeks. Here are my signs:

  1. Elizabeth Ho, AKA Rhonda, hasn’t been on the show for a few weeks. First, it sounded like ‘Oh, don’t worry, she’ll be back next week’, but she hasn’t been on for two episodes. And then Elizabeth Ho said she won’t appear until season 2- if they’re even getting picked up. This caused many of her followers to Tweet that they stopped watching the show as a result, so she had to convince them to watch. So, now the show lost some viewers.
  2. The viewers for the DWTS episode was less than 1 million. Yikes. The peak was the second episode. With like 2 million viewers. So Yeah.
  3. ABCFamily apparently is creating 3 new ‘dramas’. This means M&J is out of place, and they’re probably using M&J’s budget to support these shows.

Meh, I knew it wouldn’t last. None of ABCFamily’s sitcoms last that long, and ABCFamily always screws around with them(Like putting M&J up against Glee: Smart move! Not!). Also, reruns are always available on ABCFamily, and the website, so people think ‘Oh, I missed Mel and Joe? No biggie. I’ll go online and watch it.’, so people have less reasons to watch it the first time around.

Melissa, honey, you have a family to support. So go back to Sabrina syndication, and made for TV movies. Anything. Just know you have other options.

Well…

Oh. My. Goodness. This weekend, I have homework in *counts* 3/4ths of my classes. What? I understand that this is high school, and I have honors and AP classes, but HONESTLY? The school rewards it’s ‘star students’ by… screwing us over with homework, ruining our posture and social lives? Granted, I don’t have much of a social life to begin with, but honestly. I feel like now, all of my actions will affect me later.

Today, we had a pep rally at school. I don’t play sports. And I realized… why the fudge do people care so much? It’s just kids from different teams wearing their uniforms all day that haven’t been washed, and act like they need to be treated like royalty just because they can run with a ball in their hands. Then, for an hour, the student athletes and the seniors just get treated like they created the Internet or whatever. Am I the only one who thinks that high school treats sports like they’re the top priority? If I’m taking challenging classes, and trying to do good to make the school look good academically, shouldn’t that count for something? I mean, there’s a reason why sports are called extracurricular activities. Don’t get me wrong, sports are okay, but I know several kids who are planning to get into college just by playing football. And trust me, there’s a good chance they’re not going that far for their football dreams. And I also hate how athletes treat people who don’t play sports like second class citizens. Honestly. If I don’t want to play a sport, that should be MY business, right?

Oh, and remember my cousins from a few posts back? Well, they’ve tried inviting SS and I to their Youth Group again. We’ve declined. My parents were not amused. The end.

In other news, I’m going to start having random titles instead of boring, average ones when I don’t have any title ideas. So… yeah.

Adios amigos. I have to do my homework. D:
