Blah

This week has been dragging on and on. The weather sucks, I have nonstop homework, and I feel like I’m being cramped up with too many deadlines. Sure, spring break starts next Friday, but I just took an APUSH test last Friday and a Biology test yesterday. I don’t need to squeeze in another 2 chapters by next week.

It’s been raining all week. Actually, that’s a lie. It looks like it’s gonna rain but it doesn’t really. It’s just cloudy, humid and windy. I don’t even know if that’s possible. I heard it’s gonna snow in the NYC area, and that it’s going to create a Nor Easter for the area which will end next Friday. I swear, if there’s a black out this weekend or spring break, I’m going to scream. Last year, there was a major Nor Easter in the area, which caused floods, black outs, broken fences, huge trees in sidewalks (I had to walk in the middle of a busy road to get to my bus stop :/), contaminated water and one angry teenager: Me. Oh, and to make things worse, things didn’t get fixed for two days because it happened on a weekend and the electric company people didn’t want to pay their workers their weekend fee. So… yeah. If I’m not online for a few days, it might be weather related.

I don’t know if I’ll have free time this weekend because of homework and real life commitments.

And I have a pep rally tomorrow. Fun. It’s just for all the jocks to be annoying and obnoxious and cut class and crap. I always end up sitting near the obnoxious kids who troll in real life to annoy others. I’ll blog about their antics tomorrow. Smile with tongue out And my grade never wins any of the events because we don’t care.

I’d blog more, but I have a 23 paged outline to do for APUSH.

But to quote Degrassi, Whatever it takes, I know I can make it through.

Friday, Friday

When I was a kid, there used to be the occasional plot on shows and cartoons when a character had some musical skills. They’d pay a bunch of money to some scammer for a ‘recording session’ and they’d get an address for the ‘recording studio’. Once they’d go, however, it would be an abandoned building and they’d be scammed from con artists.

This weekend, I watched it happen in real life.

There’s a company called Ark Music Factory. They convince Stage Parents that their teenage daughter is ‘the one’, so they pay a lot of money to get a video, song and promotions for their new ‘superstar’. The videos are laughable (They make Disney look amazing) and they’re never taken seriously.

And what was this recent result?

It’s about a girl’s obsession with Friday. Except she sounds like a 13 year old Ke$ha, she sings lyrics about the days of the week, her friends are horrible dancers and she’s autotuned like hell. And do I see Usher in there, too?

And now, that video has gone viral. There’s even a Time article on her! She’s been trending on Twitter for God knows how long, and she’s becoming an Internet joke. The poor girl is probably around 15 and just wanted to be famous, or had a Lohan like parent who forced her to do this. And now her entire reputation is ruined. She probably lost all of her friends, boy or girlfriend, and millions of people are making fun of her online. Someone’s gonna need a self esteem seminar.

Apparently that company has other videos as well. Rebecca just was the ‘chosen one’ to end up with Internet fame.

But yeah. Due to some random company’s greed and Usher wanting to find Justine Bieber, Rebecca Black is probably going to have to change schools.

Please, please let this be a stealth parody.

Brief Post

The laptop still hasn't been fixed and I've been trying to avoid the blogosphere to not feel annoyed about the laptop thing, so yeah. :P Winter Break started yesterday. I watched a lot of Degrassi. School stuff happened, but I think I'm gonna stop talking about school now. We ordered Late Night from online and they said it's coming Wednesday, so... :D? On the whole boycott issue, I'm not really buying every expansion or stuff pack they make, and I'm just getting the PC games that interest me, so yeah. But I've spent like 100 dollars on three games (not counting Wii stuff), so... yeah. I've been playing for like 1 year and 2 months now, so I guess it's money well spent. But yeah. I'll stop rambling and go onto other posts.

Breaktime

I finished my midterms! Smile And I got an 85 on my APUSH midterm and a 94 on my Spanish midterm! But now, I’m feeling tired and lazy and I just want to relax, so don’t expect too much this weekend. Smile with tongue out And NJ is getting a storm tomorrow, and I have a lot of homework to do, so… yeah.

But to make this post more content-filled… the Charlie Sheen stuff is bothering me. If he was 20 years younger, and Charlotte instead of Charlie, he’d be on Yahoo within seconds, and his reputation would be ruined. But there’s a double standard for alcoholic, middle aged men? Interesting.

Ugh, I just realized that we might possibly have a tiny chance of a black out tomorrow. Which means I might not be able to work on my project. So…. D:.

Good Mood

This weekend has been going great for me, so far. Smile

Friday, I watched How I Met Your Mother at 7, then I watched some Disney stuff, then I watched the movie The Freedom Writers on MTV, then I watched an episode of Roseanne. Oh, and I played Sims the whole day, too. Open-mouthed smile

Saturday, I had like no homework, so I went to the mall. I went a little overboard with shopping (1 sweatshirt from Aeropostale and 2 American Eagle sweatshirts, along with a calendar from Borders), so I feel like I have to save up more. I originally got 2 other shirts from AE because I thought they were on sale, but the jerks that work there put the details in a small font, so I had to buy 2 T-Shirts for 40 dollars. But later, SS and I were like ‘Screw them, let’s return it’, so we did. Then we got the other shirts. Smile with tongue out I don’t like AE (the store, not the blogger), because the workers follow me around and ask me if I want anything… every 30 seconds. Just let me browse your overpriced crap on my own, thank you very much. Then we went home and we played Sims and watched Boy Meets World. Open-mouthed smile

Oh, and the Steelers won their game yesterday, so my APUSH teacher will be in a great mood this week.

Today, I plan on just playing Sims, watching TV and relaxing. I guess this weekend makes up for last week. Open-mouthed smile

But just in case this blog post jinxes anything… *knocks on wood* .

I Should Start Charging for this*…

Yesterday, I predicted that the snow would ruin my weekend, along with the homework. Guess who was right? Annoyed

And I have to go to my cousin’s birthday party tomorrow. Cool, right? She’s 12, and it’s on my mother’s side, like the ones I don’t like. The adults just laugh at everything and are intolerable, and the kids just run around and scream and fight. The teenagers, AKA the ones near my age are wannabe guidos and guidettes. And the only time they act serious is when they talk about ‘politics’ or religion. I don’t mean to diss anyone, but just shouting ‘Abortion is bad!’ and ‘Gays shouldn’t get married’ and ‘The government hates the middle class’ to people who you know that disagree with you isn’t politics. And did I mention I have a Spanish test and Bio quiz, which I need to do good on for my grades, Monday? Ugh.

Oh, and my Mom said ‘Yeah, we’re probably not gonna see them this year, so we won’t buy her a gift.’ But we got the call, but the snow ruined everything, so yeah. And she’s my favorite cousin, from that group, anyway. I don’t need her to become bitter.

And I still have to do my APUSH outline, Spanish homework, study for Spanish and Bio, and do my English and SAT Prep homework. At least SAT Prep and English aren’t for Monday.

Did I mention I have to go to Church tomorrow morning, too? I mean, I wouldn’t do my homework from 11 to 1 anyway, but that means I can’t do my homework late tonight, and stay up even later, tonight.

So, how much do you think a teen psychic could make? Maybe I can get a show! Smile with tongue out

*I’m not really a psychic, and I don’t make predictions or do séances, palm reading, crystal ball stuff, ouija boards, those cards that begin with a t (tarot?), or anything of the paranormal sort [I don’t believe in it either]. I do, however, accept money from strangers. Winking smile

There’s Snow Place Like Home

Yesterday was the day Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas. And since I’m an Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Christian, I stayed home from school. I have to admit, there wasn’t really anything worth staying home for, because we just go to Church, but my Dad was busy because of work, so we couldn’t go. So I just tried to catch up on homework. But that didn’t really work.

Now before anyone comments and starts hating me because I’m using my ethnicity to my advantage, let me defend myself. I felt really stressed out and borderline depressed this week, because Holiday Break just ended, so I guess I needed a day off. Besides, I have known several people who have also done some similar things…

  • My ‘friend’ (Long story) was absent for a week because of an ear infection. While she was at the doctor’s office, she said she took a few more of those ‘please excuse so and so’ passes. I don’t know if she needed to get them signed, but apparently, her doctor was okay with her taking passes.
  • A girl in several of my classes has taken off for her sister’s Bat Mitzvah (Forgive me for any misspellings, I’m not Jewish and I’ll admit I’m ignorant) or something (She just said it was for her sister and then she was talking about the Bat Mitzvah so I’m just assuming they were correlated) and Passover, so I guess my religious holidays should count, too.
  • Another boy who always cuts class, never does his homework and so on, took off for Passover. I’m not exactly so sure on how he’d embrace the holiday.
  • A boy who was sick one day, came to school the next day, then was absent the next day because of make-up work. Although he claimed to sleep at 2 AM because of homework, so I could understand why he’d be absent.

And nobody went like ‘HEY NO FAIR THAT’S NOT A HOLIDAY, ARMENIANS DON’T EXIST!’. Okay, so that wouldn’t happen, but ignorant people would think that I’m just trying to cheat the system or something. One girl even said ‘Oh yeah! Yesterday was Armenian New Year, right?’. So I’ve done my job. Smile with tongue out Even if she got the wrong holiday. I don’t even think there’s an Armenian New Year.

And in New Jersey, there’s another snow storm. So today, we had a half day in school. I don’t like how my district will do anything to avoid closing school.

I don’t know if you remember my lazy English teacher, but guess what happened? Today, I was just writing an assignment I missed from Thursday, and since my desk is literally right next to his, I just glanced at his laptop from the side of my eye, and guess what I saw? HE WAS PLAYING SPIDER SOLITAIRE. I was so pissed off. Like, OMG. Sure, we were working in groups, but it’s stupid that he expects us to have positive work ethics when he doesn’t.

But in other news, I got a 100 on a jump rope test in gym. Open-mouthed smile Monday I was so inept at jump roping but now I actually got a 100 after taking countless retests! I’m pretty sure my teacher gave it to me out of pity, but who cares. xD

But I have homework in 6 of my classes. Sure, I only have to do 4 of them, and 1 of them is because I didn’t go to school Thursday, but it looks like I’ll be home all weekend, doing homework. Especially with the snow.  Sad smile Oh well. As long as I can go to the mall once, I think I’ll be okay. xD

…. I’m like the shopping version of an emotional eater. I just go to the mall whenever I’m feeling bored or sad and expect all my problems to be solved. And I buy things I don’t need. In New Jersey, T-Shirt season is from late April, if we’re lucky, to the end of September, if we’re lucky. And I counted how much t shirts I have from Aeropostale in the summer, and I have… 20 something. And I’m pretty sure I’ve bought more since then. Hey, it could be worse. I could be buying EA products. Smile with tongue out

But I heard we might be having a snow day Wednesday. So yay for new uber snow detecting technology.

The R Word

What word can summarize my transient (Thanks, SAT Prep) winter break? Regret!

I don’t know where things went wrong. Maybe it was sleeping at 3 every day. Maybe it was not doing my homework during that blizzard, or when I came home. Maybe it was checking the online gradebook, and still thinking about school so much. But my biggest regret was yesterday.

I’m just going to warn you right here. The next part of my blog post is extremely bratty, so feel free to leave now if you think you can’t handle a bratty teen.

Friday, I slept at 5 AM. Well, 5:20. I know, that was a really stupid decision on my half. But I’ve done it before, and this week I slept at 3 most days, so I figured it wasn’t a big deal. I was wrong.

Saturday, I woke up at 12 PM. After a few minutes of relaxing, I went online. My parents told me I shouldn’t stay on too long, because we had relatives visiting New York City, so we had to visit them. I got angry, because I thought they would be adults who are at least 3 times older than me, talking about things I don’t care about, and treating me as a child. I was right, but I’ll explain that later.

My parents didn’t listen to my argument and just said ‘But their entire family of 5 is here! And they’d be sad if you didn’t visit. Plus, we’ll do whatever you want after.” I thought since it was their whole family, I probably should visit. And the last sentence sounded tempting, too. So we got dressed and went to NYC.

But there was traffic. For those of you who haven’t been to NYC, just think of it as driving around your block 20 times at 5 miles per hour. I got nauseous. And my parents had the radio on really loud, so I turned my MP3 on really loud, so I got a headache.

When we saw them, we just sat in their hotel room and talked. My parents and (I don’t even know how I’m related to them, to be honest, so I’ll just say my Aunt and Uncle for convenience) aunt and uncle just gossiped about other family members, for most of the time. My aunt and uncle didn’t even care that we were there or ask SS and I the usual ‘how’s school?’-esque questions.  And at the last minute, their 3 kids (Who are in their 20’s) came and said hi. I felt annoyed, but we left, so I could care less.

When we went home, I felt sick, so I just turned off the laptop at 10. I just went upstairs and lied down in my Grandma’s bed, because her room has a TV. But I felt even more sick from that (The show I was watching was George Lopez, if you’re wondering. Smile with tongue out), so I just turned it off and went into my bed. I felt even more sick, and then I… I’ll spare you the details, but the next part involved me kneeling in front of a toilet. Then I just went to sleep, because I was convinced I was sick and there was nothing to do besides sleeping.

Then… at 2:30 AM, I woke up. SS was going to sleep. After talking with him for a few minutes, I realized I felt okay. Like, not sick at all. And I was annoyed. If I just drank some Gingerale or tea, I could’ve felt better, and spend the last ‘full’ day of my Holiday break better. And some websites that I go to had a lot of New Year’s Day specials (Like Farmville and GPXPlus [Yes, I’m a nerd. Smile with tongue out]), so I missed out on those, too. BECAUSE. I. DIDN’T. DRINK. TEA. Ugh.

So as you could tell, I’m in a bad mood.

I really hope there’s a huge snowstorm tonight.

Helium Cartoon Characters in the Sky!

I still need title ideas. :P Hi everyone! How was your Wednesday? Mine went well. The Practice SATs were a nice way to not have my day ruined by jerks lol :P.

I have to rake leaves today –_– and then I have to do my homework. But maybe I’ll get some simming done? I want to play Wii Sports this break, but I also want to write some legacy chapters.

YoVille and FarmVille are impressing me. YoVille has added levels after 50, and Farmville has a new and organized market, as well as an innovative tree mastery system. Good job, Zynga!

Happy Day-Before-Thanksgiving! If you want to help those in need this holiday weekend, here are some links you could click, and some rich people donate to those causes based on clicks:

A Post?! On a Thursday Afternoon!?!

Helllloooooo everyone. I have no school today and tomorrow, because of a… teacher’s convention, I think? Anyway, I finally get to sleep in a little longer. :) I played Sims a lot yesterday, but sadly, I have homework to do in *counts* 4 or 5 classes? Yikes. So, ugh, I guess that evens things out. I knew this weekend was too good to be true. I have to study for a driver’s ed test, read Misery, do a Spanish worksheet, do 80 vocabulary flash cards and stuff for SAT prep, and (Optional) biology homework.

After the Sims patch, my game started to… get better!?! It’s no longer extremely dark, and it didn’t crash at all yesterday! I haven’t gone into CAS yet, so the sliders and sign features should be interesting. The only thing I want now is a patch/mod/whatever for more than 8 Sims per household. I wouldn’t go overboard, but just one or two more Sims in the house. The 8 Sim limit is so restricting. :/

[Political rant time. If you feel you might get offended, you know where the ‘close tab button’ is.]

And with this week’s election? My thoughts? Um, why were all the Republicans I know, online and on TV, saying ‘Yes, we won!’, not ‘Yes! We’re gonna fix the country!’? I mean, isn’t politics about fixing countries, not winning elections? And really? Are Republicans really saving us? Carl(?) Paladino from New York made openly homophobic statements, Sharron Angle made a racist commercial targeting minorities, and so on, yet they’re saving us? How is going backwards culturally going to get us out of this recession? I understand politics isn’t about abortion, the death penalty and gay marriage, but why do I see Republicans use those in their campaigns? What’s next? No civil or women’s rights because it’s ‘anti family’? Ugh. This is 2010, people. The fact that there was controversy over a children show’s puppet’s sexuality, or someone can’t marry who they want shows how sad our world is becoming. Especially if there are people in 3rd world countries dying because of natural disasters, food shortages, diseases, and droughts, and America only cares about 1 election? Yes, elections are important, but in two months, people will forget about the elections, but in two months, more people will die from diseases and disasters, and guess what? They can’t come back.

Yes, my main news source in Joy Behar. Why do you ask? :P

There Needs to be a…

Blog with game help, patch links, and what the EA customer service section should be. Like MySims3Blog with techie people. :P Seriously, it’s been two days and I haven’t been able to play the Sims since Friday night! Guess who also had little homework this weekend? –_- I’ve been seeing that stupid racially ambiguous girl in the blue dress on my launcher for two days now. EA should let me download a patch even if I already have it. They’re telling me the game is updated, but the base game is incompatible with everything else? Why? Seriously, patch or not, my game was ruined. Friday night, the game crashed because we didn’t have the patch, and now, with or without the patch, it’s still not working! [/furious]

Oh, and SS and I made some Halloween themed Sims for today. I’d post/make more, but EA is being stupid and I can’t play. :( The link is on our other blog, over here. So Happy Halloween! :)

I Literally Can’t Play Sims Anymore

So yesterday I had 3 tests, and in general, a rough week. I planned on just playing Sims yesterday to catch up with the Timbersons. But guess what? As soon as I start playing, the game goes really dark, so I have to tilt the laptop screen a lot to get some detail. And it takes forever to readjust it back to normal. Then it goes back to the dark screen.

Then, I tried to get that new patch. It wouldn’t let me get it, because I needed something additional on my computer? What? A 10 month old laptop is suddenly too old for the Sims? :/ So I tried to play without the patch, and it wouldn’t let me! As in, it literally crashed/loaded forever when I tried starting the Timbersons.

I was playing around in CAS earlier this week and that kinda went okay. But ugh!?! I can’t play with a family that I’ve been playing with since February? And you know what’s ironic? SS and I made the Timbersons because our other legacy got ruined. So basically, EA wants us to keep making new crap until our laptop run out of memory and they take our money and we literally can’t play anymore? WHAT?

Break

I’m gonna take a break from playing the Sims for a while. No, I’m not boycotting EA(Like that, anyway :P), trying to act all cool and rebellious to get someone’s attention, or anything. I have my own reasons.

  1. Grades. Yeah, I don’t play on weeknights, but on weekends, I try to rush through schoolwork to play, but my grades are kind of lower this year. I’m not sure if it’s a correlation between that, or that Honors and AP classes are hard. Either way, I’m not going to try and find out.
  2. Glitches. No, I don’t have any mods. Just a lot of custom content. But the game doesn’t let my Sims fall asleep anymore, so I have to delete the moodlet manually. Bathing doesn’t work either. No, I don’t watch my Sims shower, but I can tell by the moodlets. :P And the green lines don’t help. Nobody could visit, so that takes some fun out of the game. But worst of all: The game will randomly shut down on me. Even when I’m saving. Yeah, now it takes like 10 minutes to load, but it’s annoying to play through 3 days of birthdays, promotions, weddings, and lifetime wishes but then you have to redo it all. :/
  3. Personal boredom. The 8 Sims limit really ends plans. And I hate that part where you don’t know what to do for the heir, what to do with the model-esque spares, and so on.

I’m just feeling empty. I wait all week for the weekend, and once it finally comes, I don’t know what to do. Then it’s Sunday night, and I’m filled with regret. I’m addicted to the Internet, so weekends are hard: Spend it online and feel bored, or don’t go online and have withdrawal symptoms?

My ‘dream’ weekend consists of several things:

  1. No homework. But thanks to SAT Prep, I have vocab quizzes every Monday. :/
  2. Going to the mall, and not just eating Chinese food there. I mean, I love fast food, but I hate feeling like a bum who only leaves his house to eat. Like, I want to buy stuff and talk with people and have my own ‘When I was 15’ stories. And my own personal funds are almost dry, so yikes. :/ I have like a 100 dollars in those spare change counter stuff, but my parents always forget to take it with them to the bank.
  3. Go to Youth group and hang out with friends. No, not the Friday one with my cousins. But the one with the Church that I go to. Even if it’s overpopulated by wannabe Guidos and guidettes.
  4. Watch TV, play video games, and go online. I can only watch Nick @ Nite, which has my favorite shows, only on weekends, as well as Roseanne and Friends. I have too much video games to play, and my moods for video games can go from Sims to Super Smash Bros Brawl in an hour, so yikes.

Oh yeah. Final question. How much are restaurant tips supposed to be? Last Friday, I went to youth group with my cousins. Aside from having a horrible time there, we went out to eat after. SS and I both ordered soda and chicken quesadillas(6.95). Since SS got me pretzels at the mall the week before, I decided to pay for both of us. So, 6.95 + 6.95 + I’m guessing like two dollars at most for the drinks = $16.00-ish, right? Well, I never got any change back. There was like, 7 or 8 other people(And most of them have jobs), and Oldest Cousin told me that my four dollars went to the tip. Well, if the other 7 or 8 people paid 2.00 dollars in tips, is 16 dollars a lot for one group? Oldest Cousin and Middle Child Cousin only had 3 dollars in change with them(And they were the ones who were begging to eat out!), and they both ordered coffee, which was like $1.49, or something, so there’s no way they paid for tip. Then, they just handed me some spare change(Like a quarter and nickel, or something) and acted suspicious(Like, ‘Here’s your change. But just to make sure you didn’t take mine, how much were you supposed to get back?).  As I mentioned before, most of them had part time jobs, so SS and I think that they just think we’re stupid with money and can’t add, so they manipulated us into paying for tip. The waitress’s service wasn’t anything that special either, and the best thing she did was ignore our table when they other 6 were being really loud. So, did SS and I get ripped off? Or am I just bad with money, bitter about the night, and projecting my feelings of resentment onto them?

In other news, Fran Drescher got her own talk show, Melissa and Joey got a full 30 episode season, and Courtney Cox got a divorce. :|

How I spent my Saturday

So, with the recent anti-EA trend sweeping the Sims Community, I decided to go on a mini tirade against them yesterday. Okay, so it was just me emailing companies that won’t do anything to take me seriously, but hey, I did something.

  • I emailed companies. Like, 4 or 5 different major websites. I’m not sure if I’ll get a reply, but hey, if I got one before, I could get one now too, right? I talked about the gifting bans, mostly, but if I have time today, I’ll try emailing them again about the Spyware stuff on AE’s blog.
  • I went on the EA forum to… hunt Jarsie9 down and report her for literally 90% of her posts. I don’t care if she’s some senile old woman who doesn’t know how to treat people because she lives far away from everyone so she deluded herself into thinking that online arguments count as relationships. She should invest her Internet bills and Sims allowance on a therapist, or adopt something from an animal shelter. No, wait. That would be animal abuse. Maybe a pet rock or flower first. Maybe. Oh, and is there a penalty for reporting people too much? I don’t want to get banned on the EA forum, even if it’s crap. It’s a pride thing. :P
  • And this isn’t Sims related, but… I started watching Cougar Town! I like it. It’s funny(The drinking games and balloon hunts made me LOL) and I <3 Courtney Cox because of Friends. I regret not watching the first season, but to be fair, I’m watching this season on Free on Demand(Yeah, like I have time to watch TV on a Wednesday night!) until I have time to catch up or whatever. Jen Aniston’s guest appearance made me LOL, too.
  • Oh, and back to the Sims stuff. My laptop charger thing fell out and I didn’t notice and then my laptop shut down on me while I was playing the Sims. :( My fault, but I’ll blame it on EA. :P
  • Straying away from the Sims again. I watched the London episode of Total Drama World Tour, and Gwen really became annoying. Cheating is cheating. I don’t care if it’s ‘twu luv’ emo style. And why did Duncan get to vote? He just got brought into the game, not knowing what was going on. Duncan and Tyler shouldn’t have voted with Alejandro, especially if Alejandro was the first one out of the challenge. They should really show who voted for who(m?) in a special episode. :P Yes, I’m the only person who would watch it… but they made one for Total Drama Island that was just ‘special edition blooper clips’ so Teletoon doesn’t really have priorities when it comes to airing and making episodes.
  • I watched that The Nanny: Fran Unfiltered! marathon on Nick @ Nite. It makes me sad how the only time I could watch The Nanny is when Roseanne is on. And George Lopez too. WHY? I have to put up with like 10 hours of My Wife and Kids and Everybody Loves Raymond, but when those three shows are on, they get shoehorned into like the 2:00 AM slot on weekends. And then Friends is getting screwed around on TBS, because of Everybody Loves Raymond. And I’d say that the episodes the Nick @ Nite executives picked were alright-ish. I see like 1 or 2 of them on a monthly basis, so the only ‘controversial’ episodes that were played were… Fran considering going to a sperm bank, Fran accidentally kidnapping a child, Maxwell’s assistant having a crush on Fran, and the assistant was a lesbian(No, not CC. :P) and… yeah. They made the episodes sound like never before seen, or lost episodes, but it was only ‘Oh, that’s an… interesting scenario. Now, let me change the channel before I hear that laugh again.’ stuff. And it was sponsored by Butterfingers. The candy bar. Yes, I’m confused on why chocolate candy is sponsoring a marathon for The Nanny, too.

And in other news. Ugh. I just found out that the Sims 3 console has kids and life cycles(And weather for the Wii! :D) available. It sounds tempting: Legacies without the lag. But no. I can’t give in to EA. Especially if a majority of my funds go to fast food and Aeropostale at the mall.

New Layout!

Hi guys. I was kind of procrastinating on my homework(Hey, I did my English and half of my SAT Prep! Doesn’t that count for something?) and I decided I might as well make the new blog layout. I love it. Or at least the banner. I might change the main theme if I get bored of it. It looks kind of blocky for me. Oh, and I don’t know how to center the banner. D: Any help?

I really hope the weather gets better here. There’s a lot of trees here, so wind and rain on a Saturday night practically equal a blackout. And if I have all this homework to finish… yeah, that’s not a pretty thought.

Well…

Oh. My. Goodness. This weekend, I have homework in *counts* 3/4ths of my classes. What? I understand that this is high school, and I have honors and AP classes, but HONESTLY? The school rewards it’s ‘star students’ by… screwing us over with homework, ruining our posture and social lives? Granted, I don’t have much of a social life to begin with, but honestly. I feel like now, all of my actions will affect me later.

Today, we had a pep rally at school. I don’t play sports. And I realized… why the fudge do people care so much? It’s just kids from different teams wearing their uniforms all day that haven’t been washed, and act like they need to be treated like royalty just because they can run with a ball in their hands. Then, for an hour, the student athletes and the seniors just get treated like they created the Internet or whatever. Am I the only one who thinks that high school treats sports like they’re the top priority? If I’m taking challenging classes, and trying to do good to make the school look good academically, shouldn’t that count for something? I mean, there’s a reason why sports are called extracurricular activities. Don’t get me wrong, sports are okay, but I know several kids who are planning to get into college just by playing football. And trust me, there’s a good chance they’re not going that far for their football dreams. And I also hate how athletes treat people who don’t play sports like second class citizens. Honestly. If I don’t want to play a sport, that should be MY business, right?

Oh, and remember my cousins from a few posts back? Well, they’ve tried inviting SS and I to their Youth Group again. We’ve declined. My parents were not amused. The end.

In other news, I’m going to start having random titles instead of boring, average ones when I don’t have any title ideas. So… yeah.

Adios amigos. I have to do my homework. D:

Blaaaahhhh

It’s the second weekend of the school year, and I’m already swamped with homework. Technically, it’s only a biology quiz, and an AP US I test/quiz. My parents are acting super strict and annoying already. They’re just yelling at me to get my stuff done, but obviously, learning something on a Saturday afternoon won’t help me out with quizzes on Monday. And I have outlines to do too, but they’re due Thursday, and I have to type them. My parents would be annoyed, and say that I’m just typing it so I can go online. Yes, because looking at pictures of guidettes from my school is the only reason why I go online.

I want a fun weekend. Like, one of those weekends that have everything go in your way, and you’re never just at home sitting on a couch. I mean, yeah, I want to play Sims too, but my parents think anytime I open up my laptop, I’m just going to become lazy and unmotivated. Seriously. I’ll go upstairs to get away from them, and then, my Dad would suddenly need to check something in his office, and my Mom needs to record something in my Grandma’s room, and suddenly, we’re back to square 1.

In Sim news, I haven’t really played that much of the Timbersons. We’re so close to starting generation 9. I hate how now that we’re almost done with them, we’re starting to find custom content that’s good. It’s like, now I have to squeeze every download I like into like 3 generations of Sims. :/

Mid Week Update

Here’s a mixture of my thoughts and random tidbits from Saturday:

  • I saw the iSam’s Mom special for iCarly. It was good, but the side plot seemed like it could’ve been it’s own episode. They needed more Jane Lynch in it. I hope Nickelodeon keeps her around. Oh, and I caught up with the iGot a Hot Room special. I thought it was funny, but the spoilers in trailers sucked. And I wonder if they’re gonna keep the high budget room.
  • Yesterday was good and bad. My AP US I teacher acted like… something I can’t say publicly on the Internet. My backpack broke. I probably gave off a bad impression to my English teacher for not saying hi to him in the halls. And I almost missed my bus. And then that Sara vs Jarsie stuff. But….. I realized I have a lot of stuff to be thankful for: My Dad fixed my backpack and I still have my family and a lot of stuff to be thankful for. So in the end, I realized that just because my school day was bad, it didn’t mean my life was bad. Especially after reading this post on Kami's blog, and thinking about all the other people in the world who are less fortunate. I’m starting to sound like my Grandmother. o.O
  • Today went good. I guess it’s after overanalyzing yesterday. :P I took my school picture today, but I’m not sure if I bended too much(Look this way, put your legs here, no not there, on the marks, thaaaattt’s it, now smiiile!) or smiled too fake, or if my eyes looked creepy or anything. No, I don’t look that horrible(I hope *knocks on wood*), but sometimes when I take a picture(Or at least for school related stuff), I get nervous and… you’ve seen any picture day episode of any kidcom, haven’t you? I had no homework today, which was good. I just feel a little ripped off. I mean, yeah, I started some long term homework, and I did some recycling in my basement, and I ate out with my family, but I wanted to do more than just reading a blog or two and catching up with my FarmVille. Eh, I should be grateful for having a nice day and leave it at that. Oh, and I got an A on an AP assignment. But I get back another test from the first day of school tomorrow…. yikes. *Reads last bullet to feel happy*
  • Oh yeah, more TV stuff. The VMAs… MTV, why the hell did you move your show to 9? I’m sure a lot of people don’t give a fudge about what some wannabe D lister is wearing. And if it’s because Chelsea Handler is vulgar, well, that’s your problem. It was a school night, and I had to sleep, so I just watched up to Taylor singing. She’s awesome. Oh, and Lady GaGa? I think it’s MTV’s fault for nominating her so many times. I felt bad for everyone else who didn’t win stuff. They should’ve stop at like 5 nominations.
  • Disney time. I missed the first half of Hannah Montana because I thought the VMAs started at 8 because MTV showed their pre show instead. So, basically, the horse didn’t die and Miley lied to Lily, broke her leg and almost killed her pet horse because she didn’t admit about climbing the gym rope. Or something like that. Way to go, Miley. On the other hand, I think that the Good Luck Charlie was funny. That was the first time I liked G Hannelius or whatever her name is. I thought Teddy’s dancing was adorable! And the show is still good, to me.
  • Melissa and Joey? Eh. I was catching up on the blogosphere, so I felt lost throughout the episode. Eh, ABCFamily will air it a bunch of more times anyway, so I’m not missing out on anything, right?

Update

Hi guys. I started school this week, and here’s my view on classes and stuff, in no specific order.

  • Why is my SAT Prep class filled with juniors? D: I feel awkward in it. Like, I’m taking it to early or they’ll think I’m annoying. But the teacher is fun so that’s okay, I guess.
  • Remember ‘Mariah’ from a few blog posts ago? I have geometry AND English with her. –_- Oh gosh. This is gonna be an annoying year.
  • My Biology (Honors :o) class is filled with… freshmen. It’s supposed to be an advanced class for sophomores, so why are there only two other sophomores in it? And there were rumors that the teacher is on the nicer looking side but reeeeeaaaaally mean, so literally, when all the freshmen boys walked in, they either said ‘Damn, she’s hot/fine/etc.’, ‘She’s not that not hot’ or ‘Oh shit, this is her? We’re screwed!’. I don’t think I can handle all of them this year. On a side note, the teacher looks young and cool, but she really is a hard teacher. And the second the bell rang, she went straight to her blackberry. Looks like I know what she really cares about. Oh, and she said that ‘This is gonna be one of those classes where a lot of people get B’s.’ My parents only want As. Yikes.
  • AP US I…. stank. I did good on the multiple choice part of the test, but there were 2 essay questions and I only did one. And I don’t even think I did that good on it. :/ But they only counted for ten points, so… maybe I have a chance? I want to transfer out, but my parents are like ‘No, just work a little harder.’ I was like, um hello? Working a little harder = being in one honors class, not being in 3 honors classes and 1 AP class and trying to get all A’s.
  • English seems fun, because my teacher isn’t like those annoying people who try shoving their opinions about books down your throat. And he seems cool about writing.
  • My Spanish teacher…. where do I begin. She claims to be a native speaker, but not even the 3 or 4 Hispanic students in my class understand her. Only one kid likes her, but that’s because she talks with him, and he ‘speaks Spanish’ with her. Yes, because nodding your head, saying si, and asking ‘Como Estas?’ or saying Hola/Adios is clearly a high level of speaking Spanish. And that kid and I did NOT get along last year, so :/. Her Spanish skills are more like singing. From listening activities, the people in the tapes spoke it fast. She just extends vowels, and her sentences soundlikeeeee deeess. And her English skills? She makes progress sound like purgress. :/ Oh, and she starts the year with just speaking Spanish. No hello, or how was summer. Everyone was seriously like ‘WTH?’ .
  • Driver’s Ed. I can’t believe I might start driving soon! :o
  • The freshmen are obnoxious. They all travel in groups of 20 30 40, walk as slow as possible, and are in the previously senior-and-junior-only commons. And a lot of them just are dressing in sweats, obnoxious/unflattering colors, or just think they’re hot stuff because they were 8th graders and they graduated middle school. I’m not saying all freshmen are bad, I’m just saying 3/5ths of them are. :P
  • It’s weird how this year, colleges, SATs, ACTs, AP classes, and everything starts flowing together. Like, this year starts counting.

Now, I have to do my homework. So, thanks for reading!

:(

So, today during dinner, I found out my Granduncle passed away. :’( Rest in peace. I feel horrible for my Grandmother. She’s in California now, and she never had a chance to say goodbye(He lives in Syria, along with most of my distant relatives) to her brother. :(

And I’m starting school again. I can’t go on as much, because whenever school starts or reopens(Like after breaks and stuff), my parents always try making us only allowed to go online on weekends. We eventually always get to go back online during the week, but it might take a while. I have school off Thursday and Friday, and since this is just the first week, my parents might be generous and let me go online(Or at least forget :P). I won’t be online as much. I know this sounds old by now, but I have 1 AP class, 3 honors classes, and my own life outside of the blogosphere. :P I’ll try to do some posts now and then, but don’t expect novel length rants anymore. Maybe this is a good thing? :P

So… um, bye?
